there's something i've always wanted to ask re. downing's double zero... (since everyone is using it as a giant bat to belittle his selection laugh.gif), does anyone has the stats for chances created instead? seems unfair to merely use assists... you could play the perfect pass to say Carragher in front of the opponent's (in b4 someone jokes about him and own goals) goal, and in all likelihood Carragher will sky it, hence no assist?

or am i mistaken?

Adam Johnson or Affelay plz...

Personally fancy Afellay too. He's very tricky yet offer great teamwork with his passes and always have an eye for goals.

If we can lure Afellay from Barcelona, that's a really great job from the scouts & recruit team. Well, we can only dream. tongue.gif

Since Brendan Rodgers only have limited fund for transfer, will he scout hidden talent that require a little polish and he will be a star types of player..?

Does any1 still remember that Liv are the 1st one to spotted C.Ronaldo when he is still young, that is why Liv doesn't have the guts to invest on a young boy, then later he joined Man.U.. ohmy.gif

Yeah, Houllier spotted him first before Fergie. Gave up the chance to sign him due to wage scale.

The data makes interesting reading. Here's a list of our top 10 chance creators in the 2011-12 Barclays Premier League (minutes played in brackets).

1. Luis Suarez - 61 (2,556)
2. Stewart Downing - 55 (2,477)
3. Charlie Adam - 47 (2,175)
4. Dirk Kuyt - 40 (2,002)
5. Andy Carroll - 40 (2,065)
6. Jose Enrique - 34 (2,992)
7. Craig Bellamy - 32 (1,241)
8. Jordan Henderson - 31 (2,663)
9. Steven Gerrard - 27 (1,212)
10. Glen Johnson - 22 (1,952)

I can think of a few instances where Downing delivers a great cross only for Carroll to miss spectacularly. laugh.gif

Even Kevin Keen has left.

Thank you Steve Clarke for everything you have done here. The defence greatly improved ever since his arrival and for a very poor Premier League season by our standards and the fact that Pepe Reina had a bad time in goal, it's amazing we were still joint 3rd best defence in the league.

All the best for the future, both Steve and Kevin.

I'm wondering where Glen Johnson, Stewart Downing and Martin Kelly as I assumed they'd all had left Liverpool together.
