Even Kevin Keen has left.
Thank you Steve Clarke for everything you have done here. The defence greatly improved ever since his arrival and for a very poor Premier League season by our standards and the fact that Pepe Reina had a bad time in goal, it's amazing we were still joint 3rd best defence in the league. All the best for the future, both Steve and Kevin. QUOTE(leaF @ Jun 7 2012, 05:22 AM) wth..no ppl told me bout that ..I am now in liverpool..how I wish I could meet them , especially stevie coz I dont get the chance last year when he is not coming =( Well .. I never knew Callejon was 25 years old. I always thought he was like an 18 or 19 year old full time from Madrid's academy but he was from there, then went to Espanyol only to return.

'Negrito' = 8 game ban + 40,000 pounds
'F**king black c**t' = Innocent But, are we actually surprised? And yet people still call Suarez a racist while Terry is England's angel. |

QUOTE(koolspyda @ Jul 13 2012, 11:36 PM) this episode we learn that, in case of dispute(s); first rule is always DENY. Here is the thing. Suarez comes from South America and I know he has played in Netherlands but has it occurred to you that, maybe, he admitted to saying the word because he thought what he said was okay?"it wasn't me, i did NOT say it, no one heard IT (even if lip readers read otherwise, hey they can be wrong!! DENY, DENY, DENY Suarez, and liverpool fell into the trap in trying to offer the view, the 'word' is a common saying in South America, there was no 'intent' of derogatory (the diminutive negrito is used, as a term of endearment meaning "pal ") for 'admitting' saying the word, despite all arguments, 8 match ban & further abuse from c*nts later. truth is, the only way it seems is deny all shitte Suarez admitted saying it and I think Evra admitted insulting Suarez. No video evidence. Terry admitted saying it, there was video evidence. Both almost similar incidents but one has to pay 40k and sit out of 8 games and the other is now innocent and reputation in tact. QUOTE(Duke Red @ Jul 14 2012, 06:53 AM) Suarez was guilty until proven innocent as far as the FA and media were concerned. From the time he was accused, Terry was still very much the media darling who sympathised with him, and the FA decided to 'cuci tangan', citing that it was a civil case and they had no jurisdiction over the matter. Really? They could not suspend him pending the trial? Instead, they bubble wrapped him , placing stewards to monitor crowds, told to apprehend anyone who abuses him. Did Suarez receive any of that? Exactly. I don't think Terry nor Suarez is racist either but the FA needs to at least give Terry 8 matches ban and 40k fine for consistency and as an example. So much for 'Kick Racism' campaign.If you read the accounts of the case, they basically said there isn't enough evidence to charge him. Err what evidence was there to charge Suarez other than what Evra said? No one heard what happened. I for one do not think that Terry is racist but neither is Suarez. However the latter uttered a contentious word and so did the former. Some consistency please. This is an effing joke. However, one thing that pisses me the most is ... Will the people who went out all the way claiming Suarez is racist, should be kicked out of the Premier League, etc, etc do the same to John Terry? No. Because John Terry is English and because Suarez plays for Liverpool and his incident involved Manchester United. |

QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Jul 14 2012, 07:22 PM) Please chill bro. Why the inconsistency? Because Terry's case was brought to the court but Suarez was judged by the FA board. In a way you can say Terry was found not guilty by British law while Suarez was found guilty on the FA's standards. Now that the FA have announce that they will have a look at Terry's case, we will see if there is any inconsistency, if there is, then feel free to make all the noise you want. Yes. Different people made the decision and that's fair enough but I when Suarez was being charged, everyone out there called him a racist, a *******, a f***er, a **** and signed petitions for him to be kicked out of the Premier League. Why don't I see those same people, saying the same about Terry, when quite obviously, he's also said racist remarks?Because Suarez plays for Liverpool. Now, Terry's case is almost similar to Suarez's but the difference is, there was evidence caught on tape that Terry did insult him whereas there was no evidence (based on Evra's words alone and FA chose to say Suarez's words were not credible enough but what made Evra's words anymore credible? Also, why was Suarez dealt with almost immediately but darling captain JT gets postponed so many months and allowed to play for England? It's been almost evident that the FA is pretty much anti-Liverpool. Ryan Babel was fined 10k pounds for posting a picture Howard Webb in a United top as a joke. It was for laughs but it wasn't necessary. Surely anyone would agree that posting a picture of Webb in a United top is nothing compared to homophobic tweets made by Ravel Morrsion? Ravel, ex-United player, only got 7k fine. So you're likely to get a lighter punishment for saying homophobic stuffs compared to a random picture. Suarez also got a one match ban for showing the one finger gesture against Fulham. However, Wayne Rooney, Ashley Cole and Gary Neville have shown inappropriate gestures and never got punished. Anyways, while those are over and done with, the point is, if Terry does not at least get an equal punishment of 8 games ban and 40k fine, I'd be livid. He is a born and bred Englishman and he very well knows the culture of England more than Suarez will ever know. QUOTE(kucingmainan @ Jul 15 2012, 02:35 AM) Just because a person says a word in reference to colour does not mean the person is racist. Malaysians always call caucasians and europeans "white people", is that racist?Evra knew Suarez would get into trouble (mainly because FA is very anti Liverpool, IMO) regardless if he actually felt abused or not. |

QUOTE(Petre @ Jul 16 2012, 02:46 PM) do we all need to waste so much more energy to debate the fact that Evra is a pile of cowshit and that Suarez is a victim of decades old conspiracy towards liverpool? Nope but some people still don't seem to see the anti-Liverpool or Pro-United agenda of the FA. I've listed like a few incidents which showed it!Everyone knows English don't like Scousers. English media are very pro-London as well. Chelsea is in London and JT is captain of Chelsea, an Englishman and captained the country. Another case in the past when the FA make Gerrard travel all the way to London to see the England doctors when they were told by Liverpool doctors (I think one of them also worked for England) that he was unfit to play for England. QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Jul 16 2012, 04:32 PM) Walcott is overrated all speed no end product inconsistent overpriced and most importantly British. I believe Ox Podolski Gervinho are all ahead of him in Arsenal's pecking order. I would like to have some pace on the wings for once.Can you believe he is demanding 100k a week raise from Arsenal? If we were to sign him it could very well be a worse deal than Hendo or Downing. |

QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Jul 17 2012, 12:11 AM) Not when Arsenal will probably demand in excess of 15 million pounds and with Theo demanding 100k? BR like controlling possession of the ball but with Walcott I can see him running away with it at every opportunity and with no end product. There's definitely others out there who will cost less and much better ability-wise. True. I'm not going to pay more than 15 million for him or give him crazy wages. Walcott is at the right age, though.Theo Walcott: 8 goals 11 assists Juan Mata: 6 goals 13 assists David Silva: 6 goals 18 assists Gareth Bale: 9 goals 10 assists Stewart Downing: 0 goals 0 assists Can't be that bad when FIFA World Player of the Year winner Lionel Messi has described Walcott as "one of the most dangerous players I have ever played against. LOL!!! QUOTE(edwinsan84 @ Jul 17 2012, 02:14 PM) sign Joe Allen, Theo Walcott and Clint Dempsey, while Andy Carroll stay. If we sign Joe Allen, Theo Walcott and Clint Dempsey,Alberto Aquilani, Craig Bellamy, Jay Spearing can all go. then i guess we are good to close the business and get ready for the new season. I'll offload Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing first This post has been edited by Adryan: Jul 17 2012, 05:59 PM |

QUOTE(madmoz @ Jul 17 2012, 06:22 PM) downing has zero assists, true. I agree.but how many chances did he create, only for our players to fluff their lines. Someone did post that particular stat line before methinks. I've always liked Downing and have defended him but in no way his performances last season were good enough for a Liverpool midfielder. |

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Jul 17 2012, 11:15 PM) What's the pointing if we keep selling? We already let go of Kuyt, Maxi and now probably Carrol. I dont think we should let go too much players from first team.... New signings need time to gel. I dont want BR be Steve Bruce Number 2.... buy buy buy,sel sell sell...play new team that need time to gel, failed to get result.... get sacked then... While I agree with that but my response was to the poster who said get rid of Bellamy and Aquilani but no, I would keep those two ahead of Adam or Downing.I actually don't believe in that 'time to gel' crap. Yes, new players need to learn how their new teammates play and all that but I actually very much believe that good players, if they are played alongside good players, they will instantly understand each other's game even if they have never played together before. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Suarez reopens Evra row: United's political clout got me banned says star Liverpool striker defies club's orders to reveal he was reduced to tears by racism saga that saw him suspended for eight games Luis Suarez has re-opened the row over his race ban last season, despite being ordered by Liverpool not to discuss it. The Uruguayan has accused Manchester United of wielding their political power to get him suspended for his controversial comments aimed at United defender Patrice Evra. The Liverpool striker revealed he was so devastated by the effects of his Evra racism ‘trial’, he was left in tears for days on end as his reputation took a battering. Speaking to a TV station in his homeland, where the forward is preparing to captain their football team at this summer's Olympics, Suarez offered another explosive insight into his controversial row with Evra. In it, he claimed: * United are the political power in English football. * The Old Trafford club contrived to get him banned. * It was Evra's fault that the pair didn't subsequently shake hands. * That the handshake issue was a second conspiracy against him by United. * He and his wife were reduced to tears by the ordeal. * Even United fans offered him support. In the wide-ranging interview with TV show RR Gol, Suarez revealed his Anfield bosses have asked him not to speak about the Evra affair. But he didn't hold back as he said: "It was so hard what happened to me. I don't show my emotions on the field, but outside I do - and I cried a lot with all the Evra stuff. "The trial (disciplinary hearing) week was so complicated for me. My wife and I cried a lot during that week. "People at the club are sure that it was a way that Manchester United used to put me out of the team and stop Liverpool. "But in England, Man United has this political power, and you have to respect that and shut your mouth." Suarez made clear that he feels the FA's guilty verdict on a racism charge, and the subsequent eight-match ban, was inspired by United's political clout within the English game. And he even went as far as to suggest that when he was later vilified for refusing to shake Evra's hand the next time the pair met after the verdict, it was another United conspiracy. "It was a misunderstanding, what happened between me and Evra at Old Trafford when we were to shake hands," he insisted, but then added: "In fact, I think it was all arranged against me again, as it had happened with the punishment. "I promised my wife, the manager and the directors that I was going to shake my hand with Evra. Why not?, I thought, because I had no problems with him. "I had been punished because of him, but I had no problems with shaking hands. But I was not forced to greet him. I had no problems with Evra. It was only a handshake and I was OK with that. "The media in England showed the moment when I passed in front of him, but they didn't see that he had his hand low before. "Only the media in Uruguay and Spain showed that I wanted to shake his hand." Suarez revealed he felt desperate at times during the long-running saga, but said he was given a major boost from a surprising source when he met a United fan in a restaurant. "I had to go to Manchester in a taxi for the trial. I got up at seven in the morning and I came home at nine at night. I was exhausted, I was so tired. I wanted to cry, and kick all the things around me," he added. "I came home and I wanted to do all that, but I couldn't because my daughter was at home. There were really complicated days, and then things became harder after the punishment. "But Man United fans respect me. "I have an anecdote: One day, after what had happened with the Man United player, a Man United fan came to the restaurant where I was having lunch with my wife and asked for a picture. He told me, 'I admire you as a footballer.'" |
