Firstly, the guy wanted a WIRELESS gaming mouse with RM100-200 budget. The ones you recommended is way over that budget, he just can't buy anything DECENT for the money.

Your example of IME3.0 is quite irrelevant. At that time of release of the IME3.0, not many companies label their mouse as gaming mouse. Then again, the re-released version of the IME3.0 IS LABELED as gaming mouse under their Microsoft.com/hardware website. The labeling of gaming mouse is just a gimmick. If you find the Anywhere mouse works good for you, I have no comments. But to me, 1000dpi and 125Mhz, and for that same kind of money, I'd get a DA or G500 anytime of the day, that simple.

You call MX500 way back? I go real wayback bro. Wayback in the ball mouse days. The WingMan / MouseMan era. And why do I even compare this? Argghhahaa.. guess it's just another free day at the office. biggrin.gif

No problem dude, you're allowed to say anything here man. Don't worry. But from my point of view, really there is no wireless mouse worth the call that can make me make the jump from wired to wireless.
That's a good buy. Guess they are clearing stocks to make way for the G500s probably?

Maybe, haha, anyway, i love G500, i have no money, cannot get the updated products, always get the outdated product, haha

The MX500 was the first mouse actually targeted at gamers by Logitech. And yes, I do go way back to the days of the first Razer Boomerang and then Diamondback. My first freaking mouse was a logitech 3 button. So I know my mice and having to remove ball, clean gunk, put back ball days.

The guy wanted a wireless mouse. G500 is a great buy anyway. Especially at the current bargain prices.

I read a lot from the top mentioning that wireless gaming mouse is not suitable for gaming. Is it true?
Is it because of the respond time?

That's one of the factor, the other factors being the power consumption and price. For example, you can probably get 2 good WIRED gaming mouse for the price of one WIRELESS gaming mouse which probably won't offer you too much advantage or maybe worse performance over WIRED ones.

Plus, would you want to get a WIRED gaming mouse that you can game on as long as you want or having have to worry about the battery life of the WIRELESS one and charge it?

In terms of WIRELESS technology, I only trust the ones from Logitech. So we have an example here:

A good explanation by CharlesB, the Logitech forum moderator:

The G700 basically has the barest level of battery saving: It was designed for MINIMUM lag during gameplay, and battery saving induces lag. Our mice that last for weeks (or years!) on a battery have:

-Low power consumption sensors
-Wireless connections that go to sleep mode quickly
-Other sensors that go to sleep mode quickly
-Wireless connections that function at a fraction of the report rate

Same theory that goes out to all the WIRELESS gaming mouse out there.

Plus, in his explanation, he highlighted MINIMUM lag. Meaning, there's lag. Well, you get the point.

And lastly, one more factor to consider is the WEIGHT of the mouse. WIRELESS mouse tend to be heavier due to additional batteries weights, which can be a big turnoff for some gamers out there.

Hi guys , I am looking for some suggestion.

My budget is around rm200~250, prefer laser mouse and high DPI, high accuracy...
Playing wide genre of games from MMORPG,MoBA to FPS.
My hand is quite big, mostly Claw style.

I can't decide between Steelseries sensei RAW, Razer taipan, Corsair m60 , Logitech G500 (G500S worth waiting?) and Logitech G9x... In term of performance, tech spec, usability, build quality and durability which 1 is the best? I had f***ed up experience(s) with those cheapo (RM30~50) gaming mouse...

I had the same issue when selecting mouse, I normally claw the mouse that people tend to palm lolx I find that the G500 is quite comfy but I settled for the Ikari optical for the wide body that I find more relaxing on the grip... other than that, you might wanna consider the Roccat Kone as I heard the size is quite big

as far as I can tell the Gx00s is nothing more than a refresh of the existing/older Gx00 line of mouse. Especially for the G700, all I can really see is a change in the paint job. everything else seems the same.

I go for G500 hands down, I read the review of G500s, the only difference is that the coating, laser quality and increase the durability of mouse button.

So far I haven't got any issue regarding to this mouse, besides the left-click can sometimes register double click instead of single, but it only happen like once in a 300 clicks. Still under warranty though, not quite sure I can claim G500s after warranty. tongue.gif

Thanks bros, i think after reading you guys comment i had narrowed my choices to Logitech G500 vs Logitech G9x, added deathadder 2013 into my list after my fellow frens suggested... I couldnot make up my choice between G500 and G9x because i am basically claw grip my mouse 80% of the time... and some forum suggested that claw grip go G9, but g500 looks way more comfy for me (i never hold both mouse)... If i am going for precision / build quality, which 1 i should buy?

I have a logitech mx1000 (1st laser mouse in the world) which is still working strong until today. all buttons working etc. I have lost a few of the plastic feet and the internal Li-Po battery does not hold much charge in between anymore (amount 3 weeks worth of 12 hours/day). I think I got it in 2005/2006. Says a lot about Logitech quality.

To M100 users out there, check out the link:

There are actually some SC2 gamers that actually recommend this mouse for gaming. I got this mouse from the MK200 and I myself find the shape really good to hold, it's pretty stable at sniping.

I'm loving this bang for buck mouse more than my DA. Oh my..

And further research on google shows that they actually uses Omron D2FC-F-7N switches. Anyone can confirm this? I don't want to open up mine since it's still brand new.

Well I'd say it's a gem. What do you think?
