I was wondering is there any differences when using native OS mouse settings compare to the vendor driver settings?

QUOTE(Clem1982 @ Jul 17 2012, 09:15 AM) should be different IMHO, the firmwares generally alters the way the mouse works, usually claimed "to its fullest potential" other than that macros, shortcuts and custom buttons & lighting will usually only be available through the firmware How about only the speed and acceleration settings? Was it the same? |

QUOTE(dragorc @ Jul 17 2012, 10:51 PM) put aside all the decoration, yeah it is the same as xai and similar to sensei Was experimenting on a few different settings with the OS driver and vendor driver. Having inaccuracy aiming in games makes me frustrated and reset my logitech G500 with default settings. Looks like logitech didn't bother to upgrade the driver. I'm still on the same driver version. Thinking of changing to steelseries or madcatz.Added on July 17, 2012, 10:56 pm afaik the firmware usually enhances and fix the performance of the mice like, acceleration (negative n positive), sensor sensitivity n response, lift distance and also some macros function, correct me if im wrong..but to me I really don notice after upgrading the firmware but maybe if ur mice gettin some error issues so u might want to upgrade it... |

QUOTE(jasmineivan @ Jul 18 2012, 10:38 PM) As I mentioned basically it is same with Sensei, so as long as you get to the browsing unit of Sensei will do. Even the new refreshed version? The sensor still the same? Previous PC fair last week has few browsing unit, you missed the chance. Added on July 18, 2012, 10:42 pm Not really, the infrared sensor in DA much more imprecise than those in Imperator 4g, Naga Epic, Sensei, even quite old Ikari laser. |

You already bought it? Take the weight cartridge off, will put strain on your wrist, not good for long hours.

Got any difference meh? heavy / light weight. Still prefer it lightweight as possible, mainly use wrist to move around instead of whole forearm moves.

Agree. Seen those competitive players who can use as much possible xl size mousepad. Swipe pretty fast, I'm amazed by those fps player who use low dpi.

Higher dpi can make the cursor fly around if too light. Minimal movement for high dpi, less tense for the wrist. The sensor is placed more forward rather than center/side, pretty good to swipe it around. I just need to move the front more.

Back few days my mouse was acting crazy, cant aim precisely and the cross-hair kept jumped around. Reset the driver does not work so i gave a good clean for the sensor. Now no more skipping.

I don't think there is any other better alternative. Get a wireless mouse.

QUOTE(zapcure @ Aug 11 2012, 08:17 AM) Anyone with G700 experience? i would like to go with either g500 or g700 since my non-branded mouse is dying out I believe both will suit you. But the price for G700 exceed RM200, might bump it up just a little bit. Looking for wireless, go for G700. |
