ok, my g9x has arrived. my hands are small, so using the smaller palm shell. initial usage, very good, much better hand grip than with my previous g700.

gonna tweak it and practice using it these coming days.

i have not migrated to proper Razer gaming mouses yet, only because of a few criteria but I was doing some research and this is what i've discovered

I need near 0 lift off distance
http://www.razerzone.com/mouseguide/technology/15

I need for finger tip style gaming
http://www.razerzone.com/mouseguide/ergonomic/fingertipgrip

I use low sensitivity for FPS/RTS
I dont really need high DPI switching because 800-1200 will do

Right handed
Medium-large mouse

Time for some research and comparisons

yup. its clickiness is softer than my previous g700. i do miss pushing the scroll wheel to 'lock' or 'release' the fast scroll on the g700. g9x, need to turn the mouse upside down to push the button thats on the bottom of it.

You will have limited choice if you are into Razer mice with your requirements.
Only Razer Deathadder can fit into your needs, but not sure if your hand are big enough to finger tip it.
The DPI can be adjustable, it is a right handed and medium large mouse too.

Hi, new to gaming mouse, would like to ask for best entry level recommendation if I emphasize more on numbers of programmable buttons when choosing.

How much is your budget?
If below RM100, you can take a look at Logitech G300.

Just try the both with your own hands, and pick the one that is most comfortable to you.

G700 is more geared towards gaming IINM.
So, I would suggest getting it over M950..
