I got my car in end of Dec 2012. Batch Nov 2012. Here is what I found about the jerking/engine about to die when you put into reverse gear...

SA told me to wait untill air bag light turn off before I start the engine. One day I was rushing, so put in the key, & start it straight away before the air bag light turn off. Put in reverse... & it the engine start semput2.
So I turned the engine off, take the key out, put back in... & wait for air bag light to turn off. After that put in reverse gear, it's back to normal.

I guess the engine software or engine management system need sometime to load before you can start the engine... just my 2 kupang

i shall try that. ty for the tip.

Around 8.4-11L/100. and its depend on how and where you drive. If you drive long distance it will reduce down to 7.4. If you drive around city should go around 10.4L/100km..

Kerb Weight (kg) 1455 standard vs 1486 premium
lighter weight, same power = better FC.
but well, it all factors out to how u drive, where u drive and when u drive it (night time dont on air cond, save more fuel).
also how heavy u are...and ur passengers...and...oh well more...
but theoretically, light weight saves more petrol.

change rim not necessarily will shoot up the FC... needs to change to lighter rims so the FC will improve/same..

my dad is now using 16" CRZ rims for his car, acceleration and FC is improving. ( i recommended to him laugh.gif )
1 disadvantage is that needs to use spacer or bore the centre holes bigger...
the rim is light weight and beautiful oso ( 7.xkg/rim) go and weight your rim and let me know

Just installed zerone hi/lo adjustable and new wheelset 17inch Lenso PD1 light weight 6.9kg wrap with toyo t1r 205/50/17 tyre, gap between tyre and fender is 2 fingers tight.. Cornering damn awesome and highway cruising 170km/h feel solid and grip to the road. The downside of using hi/lo adjustable is the feel a bit hard on bump or potholes compare to standard suspension. But who cares haha.
