Hi all,
Just get my exora last Friday...now only at 250km run. Just want to ask few Q;
1. What is the stock brand tyre provided.(my exora GT radial Champro- never heard this brand before)
2. The car only start to move from idle >1.5k RPM is this normal (previous car is myvi).

Overall this few days of short drive feels comfortable and smooth only that its and hassle to change tyre because on second day my front driver side tyre puncture by  10mm screw...luckily the tyre can be repair.
*
1. Yes stock tyre is champiro GT radial, indonesian brand.
2. Yes normal because of cvt transmission rubber band effect.

If tyre punctured because of screw, u dont need to change new tyre, just 'tampal' the hole. All tyre shops can do that. Cost rm5 only. But To change tyre because of champiro brand is a must if u have budget, spent extra for safety as champiro gt radial is not that good compare to other brand.

Mod the turbo & ecu, gone 3 years warranty & may be insurans also not covered? No need send proton for service, repair your owned forever?  icon_idea.gif

In that case better just buy recond Mitsubishi Grandis (Just call ZIZI 012-6810270 or MR TANG 012-2150646 for price below RM100k).  doh.gif
*
lol, just an imagination jerk la bro, chillax, where got money to buy motec, unless you want to go for drag race to win some cash or amoi, (which is impossible for mpv) haha. summore need to aware that the VT3 cvt gearbox can only stand max 215Nm of torque only to be safe...

Supposed the rubber hose replace with Aluminium/Stainless Steel pipe (baru tahan panas, cun & bersinar!). brows.gif
*
Usually ppl will replace with samco hose, that good enough and can sustain high pressure and temp. But i dont know if any ready fit samco hose already in the market for exora bold.

Aluminium and stainless steel usually ppl change at the intercooler piping which flow the air from turbine to throttle body, but still at any joint it need to use silicone hose such samco to make sure the air not leak.

it's happened during drive in front of Starhill... when the traffic light turns red while waiting for green then the engine died off... The gear at D during that time, I just turn it to P first before I restarted the engine.. During reverse only happened once after long drive at PLUS when try to reverse at RnR the engine jerking before died off... But each time no problem starting back the engine.. By the way I've recieved my Bold in February 2012..
*
If urs is from feb 2012 batch, most likely the problem of one way valve. Just change that at sc. This is normal problem for the first batch.

Just installed zerone hi/lo adjustable and new wheelset 17inch Lenso PD1 light weight 6.9kg wrap with toyo t1r 205/50/17 tyre, gap between tyre and fender is 2 fingers tight.. Cornering damn awesome and highway cruising 170km/h feel solid and grip to the road. The downside of using hi/lo adjustable is the feel a bit hard on bump or potholes compare to standard suspension. But who cares haha.

Comparing the cc for both Exora Bold CFE and Exora CPS, why CFE only has 1561cc but CPS has higher 1600cc? Can anyone enlighten me?
*
Quoted from motor trader.

QUOTE
added that CFE uses the forced induction technology which provides maximum power at lower rpm. The increase in power output is 8% to 138 bhp while torque is raised by about 37% to 205 Nm, available between 2000 and 4000 rpm. While the CFE engine runs on the same 10:1 compression ratio as the CPS engine without forced induction, it has a stroke of 86 mm, 2 mm less than the CPS engine. The bore remains the same for both engines but it is not known if the stroke length is due to using a shorter con-rod or a different piston. The resulting displacement is 1561 cc instead of 1597 cc. The top speed with the CFE engine is claimed to be 185 km/h.

woah? ofset 25? mine use ofset 38 with 8j 215/50/17 already hit the wheel arch.. how u can fit it? ciss... getting rota now..
*
this is how it is looklike with offset 25 8.5jj front, before doing -ve camber, no wheel arch hitting when driving on bumps for front and rear.

Maybe ur fender scrub because of tyre size, try change 215/45 or like mine 205/50 or any smaller combination or do negative camber if u going to lower it somemore or fender rolling huhu. My front camber is -1. (Negative camber is not good for tyre but great for conering, so not recommended for daily driving)

The gap between tyre and fender currently 2 fingers.

I might do fender rolling this weekend coz want to lower my front abit more.

Actually i wanted to get rota rim that design like xxr concave super stretch, but i couldn't find suitable size and color that i want, so just get the grid design.

hurm.. already have 215 tyres..need to -ve the chambers.. hurm... will cost the tyre to run out faster.. huhu.. but looks cool
*
Yup form>function, huhu. Not recommended for daily use, im just using my eb on the weekends only while im ride a bike to work.

Or u can do fender rolling at workshop that have fender rolling kit which can protect the paint from cracking or rusting later on.

Guys, which spec is the best bang for buck? Should I take Bold, CFE Standard or CFE Premium? Different about RM10k for both CFE. Not spoon feeding but what is the different between CFE and CFE Premium? Proton website doesn't compare spec to spec like other website. doh.gif
*
Both use the same powertrain including engine and gearbox, The differences mainly on accessories, read here:

QUOTE(dreamKrusher @ Mar 16 2013, 04:02 AM)
it's 31 different. i wrote the difference on standard n premium a few pages back.

standard: 1455
http://proton-edar.com.my/Experience/Model...84%29.aspx#info
premium: 1486
*http://proton-edar.com.my/Experience/Models/Exora/PricingSpecs-%282%29.aspx#info

"The listed performance figures are identical to the Premium, but since the Standard is 86 kg lighter (1,400 vs 1,486 kg) we won’t be surprised if it’s slightly faster."
- where did he read 1400...hmm...
*
Huhu dont know. But no doubt the standard is lighter than premium which is 1455 in the tech spec.
