For the information of all, remittance rate is higher by 0.005 to 0.01 most of the time.

Last two weeks, i have remitted RM12k back to Malaysia through the money changer at the Jurong Point, right beside the watch shop. Any remittance above RM10k is free of charge. $10 fee apply if below.

By the way, this is the first time i approach them and ask bout the remittance thingy. Previously, i thought remittance charges are high. Now, i can opt to have my money remit once every two/three months, save the hassle to exchange and travel to JB to deposit.

Ya. Got receipt. If not, not secure.

They will ask for the recipient name, bank name, location of the bank (i.e. Sabah/Sarawak) and bank account no. Also, please bring along your EP/ WP.

FYI, its quite efficient and fast too. Money will be transferred to your designated account next working day (noon).

Btw, this is what i have experience with the money changer at jurong point. Not sure bout the rest thou!

That's internate rate... when exchange at counter with cash will be slightly less than the internet rate.

When the internet rate hit 2.52, money changer will start giving 2.50, that's the time I will change money...

If you change S$50k, 0.01 defference in rate save you RM500, S$10 processing fee is nothing.

Added on June 28, 2012, 7:40 pmIf you have people who you can trust in MY doing online purchase, create a SG sub card for the person. You pay the bill in sgd, the other party bank in RM to your account with better exchange rate for both side.
