Yeah, it is very good deck. Can win heartbeat also if got good draw and good player.
*
its a really balance deck that's why its getting good results...
great mana stability with great bombs in the end...
still it is easily beatable by other deck provided u play well n knowing how a solar flare deck works...

this deck satrted a little slow to stabalize their board so the best to beat it with speed...
many deck can cause major problem to this deck early till the persecute cant really hurt u much...
easiest was to drop a jitte early game n push them hard...
i've beaten this type of deck lots of time using speed but dun voerdo it...
dun jz dump all your cards into play...
they can always wrath some so kidna take it slow...
many rush decks overdo it and lost to this deck long term....

i find this deck bigest weaknest would be against hand control deck...
i played msot of the games against solar flare using my BW hand control deck and it really producing good results...
most of the time they need the cards in their hand to stabalize their field to set up their drakes and stuffs so with cards like cry or castigates can really screw them up...
best would be ravenous rats then put a cry haunting it...
they'll loose so much momentum that u can take advantage off...
u can run them over with konda, or even confidant early on...

their big bombs like the legendary drakes really hurt you if ur not prepare...
wutever u put against them will be mortify...
they are really a headache to kill and till now i cant find a way to counter those drakes unless i have jitte in play with my paladin...

stil in a real game its kidna hard to beat it if the player using it is really good...

Just curious ... have u played against a Solar Flare deck before ... I know I have. I have to say .. its a good deck.

No i haven't that's why I'm asking what's so good about it.
Currently at my local FNM, the latest craze is UW control playing old skool with huge number of counters and pride to make tokens every turn. If Stalking Stones was in their deck list it'll be like the deck Randy Buelher piloted.

Sides that, anyone seen Lotus Bloom from the upcoming Time Spiral ? *drool*

Hey man, Good guide rclxms.gif
Yeah, they will most probably lose out by hand control cause they need all their pieces.
However, luck always helps/spoils one's game.. Hehe

Really sorry for double posting cause my internet connection not really good.
It didn't load to the topic page, so I thought I need to post again.
Really sorry

ok...
i'm not sure this will really good or not but this is how i play against control deck...
best way to beat is timing...
let say he got untap mana whihc is mstly to cast a counter card...
if u can only cast a card dun bother...
be patient and end ur turn and he'll waste his mana for that turn...
this really annoy them and there wil be a time when they'll loose their patient and get careless provding a window for u to mass cast ur cards...
when u succeed then they need to boucne back ur cards if they got but u will always get to hit them back while they waste their cards...
of course u need to have mana and low mana cost stuffs...

another general tip would be dropping a fake card...
let say u got a jitte and another 1/2 mana cost card..
play the fake card and see if they counter or not...
if they counter then play ur main threat...
if they dun coutner then end ur turn...
this will really get on their nerve... wasting their time and mana...
in the end they'll counter the fake card sooner or later and boom drop ur jitte and end the game...

for me the best against control decks are low cost hand control decks...
the cards would be cry, rav rat, shreking, castgate and other low cost monsters like konda and stuffs...
low mana cost cards like rav rat, cry plus shiriking are easy to cast and leave ur opponent in a cast or discard osition which mostly they'll discard a land or counter providing yet a window for u to cast other stuffs (eg jitte or dark confidant)...
card disadvantage for ur opponent will soon hnder their ablity to counter and dsrupt while u hammer them badly...
wut more it give u board control and rat can hit for damage or yield jittte...
low costing konda like above and provide a big treat early game which force the to bounce it back...
it also provide target for cry...
still leave some low cost cards in hand for emergency as UW should pack 4 wrath...

btw most of these strategies comes from usng my BW hand control deck which i realy love as it gave the best result for me so far...
so far still have a perfect record unlike my other ideas...

for other deck:
burn: always drop ur seal of fire b4 u cast any cards as seal is low mana cost and see their reaction... try burn them fast or burn the tokens and stuffs with pyro and many more...
solar flare: try get enough mana and out paced them... try to persecute ocne u can!
snakes: ur tokens and card advantage should beat them fast with ur great mana build u and low casting...
vore: timing and patience to coutner his counter... hard o explain but it work a bit like hand control dec against cibtrol decks... need great calculation for u to wind the counter war in the end... drop vore for kill as usual... a great way is to pack genju so u can hit him without worrying...
weenie rush: out rush him with your low mana cost creatures...
heartbeat: i would go with determine but not sure cause i never use this dec b4...

decks that have black mana : play the card that destroy monster at the end of turn based onthe mana cost which is qual to counter on him... forgot name but its from ravnica block...

R-G-D Sealed Deck.

I'm not sure about the prizes. Should be same as the PTQ Kobe minus the air plane ticket as first prize.

Entrance fee is RM50

its good to see that magic is still alive and strong unlike other collectible cards. i stopped magic along time ago when i created the tolarian academy deck and then my entire deck got banned from any competition. i know my post will have no relevence but reminds me of the good old days.

Drop me a pm if you still have any cards for sale. Urza block was and still is the most broken expansion to date. I know of 2 infinity loop combo's which came from the block , Tolarian Stroke + Memory Jar / Yawgmoth's will (which got banned even before legal for competition play). I'm looking for lots of things , don't be shy if you still got anything for sale thumbup.gif

Anyone interested in playing T1 or Typeless MTG in Penang please let me know.
Looking for kaki here  biggrin.gif

I actually met up with berkhoo for a game of typeless MTG last Sat.
we had a great session playing... so for those who are also interested to play typeless... can PM me or Berkhoo...
at the moment we are playing around the penang bridge area (e-gate) and probably move about some where there (*as long as the place have table and chairs, drinks and nice refreshing drool.gif thumbup.gif scenery) ... since lazy to go all the way to george town or 1-stop.

So for those living near that area and interested in playing typeless can just join us.
