Factory reset is same as wipe data in recovery
If you flash stock rom using Odin in PC, normally it will not factory reset as your apps remain intact. Some roms that are clearly define as wipe rom will factory reset your phone during flashing

you just need to boot to recovery..full wipe and flash checkrom rom..but remember do backup 1st using TB PRO..

So all the steps are the same no matter u r flashing ICS or GB rom right???? irregardless of custom/stock rom...

I hv read a few case on bricked phone through clear data in cmw.. Now a bit scared to try it.. Will try to do the long way by flashing gb kernel first if required..

Like the Taiwan lpf, it says wipe rom, right? So, I just need to flash the PDA, then, it will be like factory reset then, I can format the internal sd card by pc? After that, it will be 100% clean, right?

nope..in ics u need to flash abyss.kernel 1st b4 u do full wipe..
