u rotate shoulder u create the drag. if u search YouTube they also will explain u this way.

Apparently the info you referred to is wrong. Try to look at Michael Phelps' and Sun Yang's freestyle swimming, they both rotate their body 45 degree when crawling forward. The proper way of freestyle swimming is that body have to rotate, head only rotates when taking breath. Body position should not be flat all the way, otherwise your arm hard to bend a v shape during recovery stroke.

Freestyle breathing technique the best is to breath every 2 strokes. The purpose is to prevent your body getting out of air and sink. When you're getting out of air you'll be out of energy thus hard to swim longer distance. For sprinting it's different, because it's short distance, you can choose to breath every 2 to 4 strokes. The purpose is to reduce head movement thus reduce drag. Anyway you can watch how the Olympic swimmers swim freestyle on youtube to get some idea. Learn from the best. Cheers.

Hi all...I'm new to swimming and I like this thread very much too...anybody can recommend a decent swimming pool (preferably club/ fitness center) where I can brush up on my newly learnt freestyle technique?...location around PJ/ KL...the reason is that I find most public pools are usually crowded and not so accommodating for new swimmers...I don't mind paying a little bit more expensive than public ones...thanks a lot and keep posting...

The Boulevard Hotel in Mid Valley Megamall has a gym membership of RM150 per month. You can choose to pay per month or 6 months/1 year. The gym membership comes with swimming pool usage. It's not olympic size, but decent. And not crowded.

just wondering where can i find long swim tights (up to ankle length) for men in KL?

all i found is brand arena. no speedo / tyr etc etc.

love to try other brand than arena. i think their material is lycra. it goes wobbles in the water after 2-3 months use o.O

thanks in advance.
