mine's between a tank and a dps hunter. more towards the tank side but 1 hand bow + shield is costly.

My current spec. Still need some improvements on a few gears especially my DPS, HP and AR but Act III and IV is quite doable. Some elite affix combos still give me problems but Ghom is easy pie.

The hardest part for dps is always the bows with loh.Are you using gas grenades? Those things are insane for loh.
Yesterday tried act 3 with it and I stand in multiple desec pool no prob, and this is without caltrops/shuriken cloud.
Theres crazy stacks of reds and green hp indicators, felt so panic the first time. sweat.gif

My loh only 200 though.I want to amp it up to 800-1k but so damn pricey. cry.gif
Its a friggin rat race.Gold depreciating every day while gears become more expensive by the minute.
Current stats.

I dont farm act 3 cos I get demotivated every time I bump into fast+nightmare golgor/demonic tremor/axeman, and I think that they spawn every single time I play act 3.Impossibru to tank. shakehead.gif

sry for asking a noob question, just started playing DH

whats the pro and cons of using 2 handed crossbows, 1 hander crossbow, dual wield and 2 handed bows?

sometimes the game calculates higher dmg for lower dps 1 handers compared to 2handers crossbow, is it even accurate?

if not mistaken there is 1 passive skill: archery

Which when u use diff types of bow gives diff critical damage and %

1hand xbow gives: Critical hit damage %
2hand xbow gives: Critical Hit %
Bow gives: Damage + 15%

depend on ur preferences though

in simple term its either speed @ power and what active/passive skill ur using

this one explain everything in detail

QUOTE
Bows and Crossbows

Bows and Crossbows are two-handed weapons. They can be equipped in the main-hand slot and you can use a quiver in the off-hand slot when using these weapons. Both of these are powerful ranged weapons. There are just two differences between them:

Bows get 15% bonus damage from the Archery passive skill, while Crossbows get +50% bonus damage to critical hits. This favors Bows over Crossbows unless you have a very high critical hit rate but no +bonus damage to critical hit gear. This is very hard to do and generally implies poor gear choice, so Bows do get more out of the Archery passive.
Crossbows are slower than bows. This favors Crossbows, as you regenerate Hatred over time. This makes slower weapons more effective, so this favors Crossbows.

Since Archery is better for Bows but Crossbows are slower, we’ll consider this an even draw. You may have your own opinion of this, but really the difference between Bows and Crossbows is just personal preference.

Hand Crossbows Guide

Unlike Bows and Crossbows, Hand Crossbows can be dual-wielded. This means you can actually equip two Hand Crossbows, one in the main hand slot and one in the off-hand slot. You can also use a quiver with a Hand Crossbow if you have nothing better to put in the off-hand slot.

In Diablo 3, dual wielding increases your attack speed by 15%. That is the only bonus you get from dual-wielding. You alternate attacks with each weapon and each weapon keeps its own attack speed. This means that you have to be pretty careful about using weapons in the off-hand slot. Your two weapons need to be about the same damage or otherwise you will actually not gain any damage over using a quiver when dual wielding.

The real bonus of dual wielding comes from the fact that weapons share bonus stats like +dexterity and the like. Weapons tend to have huge stat pools for global stats like dexterity and vitality, so when you dual wield Hand Crossbows you really want to use stat-rich weapons. Dual Wielding Hand Crossbows that do not offer great stat bonuses will usually result in less damage than using just a two-handed bow with a quiver.

Also, Archery provides 10% critical hit when using a Hand Crossbow. This is a great benefit if you have a lot of +bonus damage with critical hit gear.

Yes. 1 handers have overall lower damage than 2 handers.

The damage rating goes from:-
2H Xbow [high min. dmg, high max. dmg, slow atk speed]
2H Bow [lower min. dmg, high max. dmg, medium atk speed]
1H Xbow [low min. dmg, low max. dmg, fastest atk speed].

In end game, depends on your style of playing / build. Heavy critters usually use xbow for its steady / constant damage range, although some may opt for bow for faster attack speed to kite easily / proc more % (since more hits = more chance to proc effect or critical for skills like Night Stalker).

1 handers are usually used by Tank Hunters (to proc LoH more often); or critters as well (must be super-funded) by dual-wielding two handbows with critical damage and a socket (easily 250% critical damage or even more from both weapons).

If you have pvp in mind, get 1 hand xbow.Stun lock enemy with lightning bolt. brows.gif
Also its kinda stupid to pick the best class for loh and not pairing him with the best weapon for loh which is 1hxbow.(second best is dagger)

Just now broke my word and killed diablo without my friend. tongue.gif
I overgeared a long time ago, but just lazy to do it+was waiting for my friend come back from hiatus to do it together.
Damn easy...fast+nightmare+teleport+invul demonic tremor/golgor/axeman 1000 times harder than diablo.

guys wanna ask a very noob question...regarding critical hit chance...for example my crit hit chance now is 2% without ss...so if i buy a quiver with 7 crit hit chance how does it add up?...is it 2%+7% or are there are more complex math involved?
