what's ur resistance?

gonna need 400-500 average resistance since u'll kill very slow

if u have enough vit and high resist and also keep dps around 40k unbuffed.. u will farm whole inferno with ease..

i have a friend with 40k hp 600+ resistance ~1.9k dex farming act 3/4 like no tomorrow..

i personally prefer glass cannon though.. but risky when solo haha

im tempted to try.. but my gears far off the said stats..

so maybe u can try and see if not too much gears changing needed

Depends on your current stats / playstyle. Both armor and all resistance is important but for your current stats, I think you'll need more all res (at least 350) and slightly more hp (35k+).
What's your lowest most common All resistance then?
Your HP seems to be fine already. Gotta need more all res if your all res is below 300. There's something about where we must have a balance between Armor, All Resistance and HP to have a good "EFFECTIVE HP".. but I not sure how it work yet.. so confusing

my HP was about 34k with little to no resist. die like silly.

after that I bought some cheap cheap stuff from AH.

HP about 12k. resist about 500 average. I survive better, furthermore my LOH is about 800, my life per second also around 800. then there's 2.6 life steal. then there's about 1k thorn. numbers vary according to my angin to change GF / MF / DPS / whatever.

party act I / II not too bad, die if I'm careless. my DPS not that good though.

solo act I, i can reach butcher and die there because butcher 1 hit is more than 12k. elites however are all (almost) manageable.

I need a 2H-Crossbow, 1250dps+, Socketed, Extra Critical Dmg will be an advantage.

well, my build totally changed since what I posted the other day.

initially it was <10k hp 500+ resist 21k dps with SS.

I've since upped it to about 19k hp (100% increase), 730++ resist (approx 40% - 50% increase) and 33k dps with ss (approx 50% increase).

With that I have sacrificed my gf% / mf% max value BUT i can survive the Elites way better.

Previously, I'd probably die a few times for each elite. Last I tried on this build, I could kill 8 or more elites and died only twice.

No point having high gf% / mf% when I die often, my repair cost end up more than what I gain. And die repeatedly is no fun.

what is AR?

I also play Act III - and yes, that demonic hellflyer whatever fireball super powerful, despite fire resistant at 700+, I die in 2 hits.

33k with ss. 700+ resist on all area. 18k hp.

feels like 700+ resist pretty useless. next upgrade would be on more DPS and HP.

Hm, what's your DPS now? I don't know about my friends (gave the same advice to them), but what I do is, ~300 AR, and focus on high DPS + high HP (I think I had 46k++ HP back then).

The idea is to survive at least one hit (room for mistakes). Can't really recall the Zultan fight as I did it prior to 1.0.3, where he'll just stand at the opposite of the "bridge" and not moving at all, free shots

He decided to change a little direction (boost DPS), which is why I was wondering his current DPS with ~300 all res & ~30k HP now.

@goldfries: I checked your gears in-game, I think your all res is around ~490+ with around ~20k HP (612 vit). I think you can upgrade your xbow as they're pretty cheap to come by. Around 100k can get you a decent magic-socketed 980 DPS++ xbow already. (300 DPS upgrade is huge)

As for you, it depends on your play style. Pump in some all res (~200 to 300) to survive hits with 30k (or more) HP, then pump the rest to DPS; or tweak it around to see which is more suitable for you.

I've tried many different combinations as well.. higher all res, higher hp, lower dps; higher all res, medium hp, higher dps and etc.
