Its Bayern fault not taking ample chances to kill the game early on... Anyway, they deserve it. Congrats to Torres English Clubs Liverpool FC- The Kop Talk 2012, Bye Dirk Kuyt!

Haha i knew that was coming. Bayern only have themselves to blame. Chelsea survived their barrage without their key players. So credits to them. Let's see if Spurs can keep their players.

QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ May 20 2012, 05:37 AM) yup and i read somewhere dave whelan is advising martinez to go to villa and martinez is in fact leaning against villa so this is good news for us..Added on May 20, 2012, 5:39 amCapello closes door on Chelsea: I'm not going there, says Fabio, but Liverpool still interest him Fabio Capello has followed Barcelona’s Pep Guardiola in publicly rejecting the prospect of managing Chelsea. The Italian, who quit as England manager in February over the Football Association’s axing of his captain, Chelsea’s John Terry, is keen for a return to the Premier League. But Capello said on Saturday that he would not be taking over from Roberto Di Matteo at Stamford Bridge. ‘I will not go to Chelsea,’ said Capello, after he was filmed greeting Terry on the pitch before Chelsea’s Champions League final in Munich against Bayern. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich may yet be able to change Capello’s mind but the 65-year-old Italian, who enjoyed huge success as a club manager with AC Milan, Roma, Juventus and Real Madrid, is showing interest in the vacancy at Liverpool instead. Capello’s rejection of Chelsea is unexpected, given that he had made the running with the club by requesting information on their set-up. But it may still concern Chelsea that two high profile and well qualified managers have now ruled themselves out of the job. Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes claimed that he could never work for an owner like Abramovich, who demands tactical discussions with his managers, and that could be adding a fear factor to the recruitment process. Torres gotten his wish. Though he did not start the game. And I certainly didn't want him to win so he can look back and said "Thank god I left Anfield for Chelski's Russian Roubles".

to be frank, bayern's attack pattern never really changed after muller got taken off.
their attacks came mostly from robben's side, with lahm actively involved before robben takes the ball and cuts inwards... and fizzles. |

Amazing turnaround for Gary Cahill eh? Battling with relegation in first half of the season and now he has won the Champion's League & FA Cup.
Congrats to Chelsea. |

Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan has warned Roberto Martinez against taking the Liverpool job, suggesting that the Reds "don't know what they are doing".
Whelan confirmed on Thursday that he has granted Martinez permission to speak with Liverpool, who are seeking a successor to sacked manager Kenny Dalglish. The Reds' shortlist for a new boss is said to be extensive - as many as ten names in the frame - and among those targets was Swansea City coach Brendan Rodgers. But Rodgers has rebuffed Liverpool's advances as he is settled at the Liberty Stadium, and Whelan feels the Ulsterman's actions should serve as a warning to Martinez. He told ESPN: "When Liverpool asked for Wigan's permission to speak to Roberto, it was willingly given, and you would have thought they wanted him for the job. But now it transpires they are looking at quite a few possibilities. "The fact that Brendan Rodgers has opted out after they approached Swansea should get Roberto thinking he might be better off at Wigan. There is a suspicion that Liverpool don't know what they are doing, certainly it is clear now they don't know who they want as manager." EDIT: Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is leaning towards taking the Aston Villa job over Liverpool. The Daily Mail says Villa have also approached Martinez about their managerial vacancy and held talks on Thursday - the same day Wigan chairman Dave Whelan gave him permission too also speak with Liverpool. The discussions were positive, to the point Martinez is giving serious consideration to succeeding Alex McLeish rather than leaping into the highly-scrutinised role at Anfield. QUOTE But Liverpool now look like a viable option for Capello, who was on the club’s long list of candidates to replace the sacked Kenny Dalglish. Capello is interested in the challenge of trying to bring the the glory days back to Anfield but would demand substantial transfer funds, which could be a sticking point. |

It's all embarrassing to be honest. I'm not sure if it's the anti yank sentiments or we're simply not an interesting prospect. 5 years ago, there's no way a club like Wigan would talk about us like that. And now people are rejecting us right left and center.
FSG has to show leadership and they are being to cryptic for their own good. Added on May 20, 2012, 5:49 am QUOTE(led_zep_freak @ May 20 2012, 05:45 AM) No i mean't the quote. To be honest the Liverpool job in my opinion is still a very attractive one because it is the most challenging right now in Europe. The one who can bring glory back to the club will be the true special one. Pretty sure the best of the best would relish that challenge!

Yes i read that Burn, but that's the writer insinuation and not Capello's words. If he said "I'm not going to Chelsea but Liverpool interests me" then that's credible. It comes from the horse's mouth so to speak.
