Tap call - you will get a call back answer it and a recorded message giving you the 4 digit password. The message will be repeated twice

Added on May 17, 2012, 8:00 pmHmm... Taiwan/HK ICS upgrade for Note is out. Seems to be quite a big one too, even includes bootloaders.

Tempted to flash the modem to try tongue.gif

Tested first the XXLR1 modem ( from Taiwan ICS version ) ; seems much better than XXLPT of German ICS. Inside my house on Maxis , my usual download speeds averages 1000-1200 kbps. I am now getting in region of 2K
My download of the Taiwan rom broke off at the 85 % mark ; now redownloading again !

Hi.. need an advise..
actually what is different between Custom ROM and Kernel??

its any rom coming with their kernel? what is different betwen kernel??
and what is their benefit?

TQ
*
to simplify differences of Custom ROM and Kernel,

Custom ROM=Firmware/OS for phones that has been modified based on official/original ROM
Kernel= a script responsible in handling all the hardware operations

some custom rom tailor do give kernel alongside their roms, i not sure which rom include the kernel as well.

chainfire kernel - mainly based on official kernel but has root feature
other kernels - some are based on chainfire, official kernel and added some cpu features like cpu profiling that affects performance, battery life and other factors as well

hope this answers ur questions and the answers are right icon_rolleyes.gif

Do we really need to answer this here? It's not even relevant.

anyone can help me?

i just got my samsung galaxy note, but then i discovered that, my chinese contact list is not sort according to pinyin, for example, "妈妈" (which is mum in mandarin, and it's hanyupinyin is mama) should list under alphabet "M", but then inside my contact, it shown under alphabet “S", ”大哥“ list under "M" but not "D".

For english contact, it sort correctly.

I thought it was because of the contacts were in simcard, but then i copied contact into phone, it remained same. I tried factory reset the phone, and tried to manually add contact, but still same.

So this is bug? Any solution to fix this?

point 3:
Flashing kernels/firmwares through Odin will cause Yellow triangle

the truth is that flashing official firmwares through Odin will not cause yellow triangle...
only flashing non-official one will cause it.
