i think it's really important to take this matter to its highest authority/ management and demand for resolvement, because this cannot continue further..

Yea i agree too someone from the top management have to really look into this problem seriously.........

Last night as i was driving my car and take a left turning at the traffic light there is some squicking sound so i wasnt sure if its the car or something external....so i just let it be......this morning my gf is heard the same sound when making a left turn and its seriously bothering me........The car is only 1 week old and its just back from fixing 1 problem and another problem comes up....

I have never face this in my years driving local cars. Even my Myvi after a few years only problems will surface.....

Added on July 4, 2012, 10:12 amI did not realize my cornering is it have sound or not. Maybe you can try again when have opportunity and if the sound still there, no choice have to go to SC to report this thing.

I just did a quick run with the car...im not sure if its the rear suspension or axel causing the noise.....the noise is on and off...happen during sudden break....sudden darting forward or left and right turning

Seems like the SC problem not going to be resolved soon.

Going to change my mind and get a Kia.

try more drive to it, varying speed and at quiet areas to diagnoise where the sound is coming from, then easier to troubleshoot.

Sorry for the false alarm....just came back from SC...they found that a part from the top of the spare tyre somehow dropped into the boot. It sounded more like a suspension problem then a knocking metal problem thats why i was very concerned just now....thanks for the advice!

good to hear that... as for contacting the management for any unsatisfactory issues, i suggest writing to Nasim CEO Dato Samson for a more localised solution.

BTW, I've contacted my SA yesterday for the 2500km inspection at Glenmarie SC and managed to set appointment on 16 July. A little advice, please book for servicing at least one month earlier.

You are right bro. I kept away from Peugeot for 2 years due poor customer service reputation. I had decided on a used 407 and do servicing with indpendent workshops. But these fellows are so clever with their pricing that I got trapped into buying the 408. My car is running very well and I am pleased. Touch wood! However I am nerves about Nasm's continued poor customer service!

Peugeot called me to do customer satisfaction survey just now. I mentioned to them that the waiting que for servicing/inspection is too long and I didn't manage to get appointment date to my convenience. I also ask them which channel to go to if I want to complain and they told me just call and email as stated in website above.

Yours can be a test case here. Let's see if they are serious. Why don't you callup and try to change your appointment date to your convenience?

The 'knocking' sounds will be heard when I turned on the AC before the engine warms up. If I let the engine warms up for a while and then only I turn on the AC, the sound wouldn't be there. Anybody experience this or maybe could try switching on the AC right after starting the engine and straight away drive the car slowly out of the porch and observe for any slow knocking sound from under the hood??
