guys, for those of you who just received your car, the service schedule is very important and will affect your warranty if u r not careful. here are some tips for you.
here's how peugeot calculates your next service. let's say you did it early at maybe 19,100km for the 20,000km service. your next service is not at 30,000km (as we malaysians normally think) but it is calculated at 10,000km (service interval) from 19,100km (your last service). therefore you must service your car at 29,100km. peugeot gives you a 500km allowance so the latest you can service your car is 29,600km and not 30,000km. the grace period is either 2 weeks (this am not 100% sure) or 500km (this i am 100% sure).
so, if you can't get the service centre of your choice, better make plans for another. do try the seremban centre. they do a pretty quick job (no, you cannot bring your own oil - it will also void your warranty if found out). it is very close if you live in south KL/selangor. get there via lekas and you can go for a high speed run (without almost anyone noticing).
another tip is this; do plan your servicing. just as it reaches 1,000km (should equate to maybe 2 - 2.5 weeks driving?) to the next service, make your appointment. this will ensure that they have space for you.
hope it helps as many have had warranty problems just because of this small matter.
last bit, the 2,500km inspection (nothing is changed here, oils and parts remain), do not treat this lightly. you must go and get your car inspected and likewise, the grace period is 500km.

I think after the 1st service FC will improve further. the 2,500km is not considered a service but an inspection. so, the 1st service is calculated from the date your car is registered and also on the mileage on your odometer. hope it clears the air. do note that the 1st service is at 6 months or 10,000km whichever comes first.

Went back to my hometown in JB during the weekend with my new 408NA. Since I'm quite worried with the break-in period, I keep the RPM below 3k and speed below 100km/h throughout my journey. Every half an hour, I will slow down to 70 - 90 km/h, so not to stress the engine under constant speed for too long. FYI, the mileage before I start the journey was 100++. No findings were made during the journey to JB, just that I noticed that there's a slight pull to the right on the steering wheel. When heading back to KL, the mileage was already close to 700. Still drove it as in break-in period. Best mileage observed when driving this way is 6.9 liter/100km. When reached 1000km, I raise the speed to 110-120km/hr and able to set cruising speed at 120km/hr on most of the journey onwards until I reached KL. Best mileage observed is 7.2 liter/100km. Observed that there's audible rattling sound came from under the dashboard and the wind sound is noticeable on the front passenger's window. No floaty feeling but the slight pull to the right is still noticeable. Can I report these findings during my 2500km inspection? Also, I noticed that in the morning, there's a slow 'knocking' sound under the engine hood. This sound is not audible in the cabin but can be heard from outside the cabin. Is this normal?? Now my mileage is close to 1200km. Will call for appointment with the SC tomorrow for the 2500km inspection

Is naza offering any promotion for the 408 or 308?
Like free service or 1.88 interest rate? Anything...?

Other than that would be the normal offerings from SA (vouchers, full tank etc.). Not aware of any other promotion.. tunasandwich, seen you in Elantra thread. Still haven't made your decision eh?

Do report the pull, although this seems to be common with Pugs. I have not gone long dist. yet, but I notice a slight pull to the left. Usually you might hear a soft repeated tick for a while untill the engine cools down, but this is after engine shut down. I'm puzzled you say it happened in the morning. After the meter already 700++ then i put more speed. The highest for now around 150km/h but just for 2-3 second. Scared because of the road quite bumpy. Do we need to book for inspection after reaching 1200++km? because my SA told me after reaching 2000 only call him to book the inspection.

Btw just to update my car situation is really going from bad to worst.....what i thought was a simple problem turns out to be a big 1.........the service center is no doubt really bad i really have to admit....even worst then perodua service center in terms of attending to customer and solving it....
Yesterday my car have been sitting in the SC for 1 whole day without anything checked. Today after calling and calling and calling and pushing them only they just replaced the temperature sensor and they told me the problem is still there.....i am starting to doubt if they do really check ur car at 2500km since its just an inspection.......
I have to say i am really dissapointed with peugeot since its my first non local car and its giving me so much headache and inconvinience moreover their snail pace respond. My advice is do please check properly when you collect your car or even your facing any problem as small as temperature sensor do ask them to fix it

Because my friend honda accord, they give temp car while he's car in SC. They do have temporary cars for use. But not everyone seems to able to get hold of it. The excuse is that all cars are taken. The real situation is NASA's customer service sucks. They are always late in taking remedial steps. Remedies on the whole are only feeble. With Peugeot France coming in a big way in Malaysia,I was under the impression things would improve at NASA. Unfortunately nothing much has changed. It is indeed sad to see this attitude, especially since we are the customers who are putting food on their table!
