I am currently working in Singapore earning around S$2500 (RM6000++) for almost 4 years.
Currently I have Home Loan with Maybank with prefect payment record(in fact I have overpaid my loan since I have alot of $ in the bank).
My loan started in 2010 (25 years loan) but up till now I had cleared 5 years. That means even though if I'm jobless now, i don't have to pay any monthly loan until 2015. I also have Maybank CC (Amex Gold card2card) and of course also with perfect record and my outstanding now is in negative balance because of the 5% rebates.
However, my application for the OCBC Titanium card was rejected for unknown reason. I try to appeal it by calling the telemarketing agent and they did try to appeal for me but the results was unsuccessful. The agent told me because I did not meet the bank guidelines.
I really don't understand. Anyone here know the reason?

Added on July 25, 2012, 3:38 pmSome Bank CS told me they calculate base on S$2500 = RM2500 but that also doesn't makes sense. How about if I am working is Japan and I am earning 150000 yen (around RM6000++)? Don't tell me also 150000 yen = RM150000? It will be a joke.

Same situation as u,
I got mbb2u plat, ocbc, uob.

Take your time explaining to them. If they don't want then change until get a better agent. Its their lost, not yours.

Sometime it is easier if you apply through the booth in shopping centre
6 years ago I apply my CC at the OCBC booth in Hartamas shopping centre and got my VISA and Master Gold(and later upgraded to Titanium).
How about next pc fair, normally there will be lots of booth that you can apply CC during pc fair.

After reading alexis2power comment, I wonder if I apply OCBC Titanium card will my application get rejected as well?
I'm working in Singapore right now and I am thinking to get my 1st every CC in Malaysia. So after some survey, I decided to go for OCBC, UOB and Maybank Amex. But I am still quite unsure if my application will be successful because I am earning SGD as well and I started working coming to 2 years?? Any advice or suggestion for me?
Thanks.

I have no idea on the rules and regulations. But my gf sis work in sg as well. Due to my persuasion (actually dun need much persuasion to get ppl to switch to ocbc, it's that good), she apply for ocbc titanium. She got it. No idea on her salary though.

actually what you can do is to try to submit your application first. attaching complete income + supporting documents will surely be good. never try, never know wink.gif

A stupid question maybe. If I wanna pay my OCBC Titanium with Cheque, what should I fill in the Payto field? Just OCBC Bank enough?

Kind of tough, one of the toughest yet with one of the highest demands in the market now... laugh.gif Even if you have fulfilled the 36k requirement, the chances to get reject are still high. I had to appeal once only succeed though I proved to them I have more than 48k annual income, yet they rejected my application earlier...
Anyway if you have at least 36k annual income, really worth trying. thumbup.gif

I didn't realize that, haha.
Btw, I thought there was tiny chance getting 20% dining cashback at eCurve at end of the month.
