Thank you platinum for your comment. Wont pp filter at the main reduce your water pressure?

Has been using my current PP filter for 2 months already, so far the pressure is still ok, no significant pressure loss. Usually i change the cartridge every 4 months.

Here's mine. Drinkstar for my JB house. About $1.8k RM for outdoor (shown below) + indoor filter + hot/cold water dispenser. Also washed my water tank (paid $50 RM) which also had sand and rust in it after reading the recommendation here. I quite like it except for the PVC piping from the main tap outside to this unit, as I'm afraid PVC piping may crack.

At least the installer or metal valve for you. Pvc battle when exposed to sun light for long will leak.

Pvc pipe won't crack so easy of it left untouched.

checked kinetico website, they have two tanks no wonder the media can last 5 years but i doubt can last til 10 years. Normal sand filters can last 3-4 years. However, most sand filters can filter max 5 microns but kinetico has 3 microns which is better. Since it is a media developed in conjunction with 3M, i guess that would b possible smile.gif

Hi,

The material (Ultrasorb) is imported from Taiwan with reducing non-solid elements capacity. visit our site for more information http://www.waterfiltermalaysia.com.my

Ps: Frankly advice, Kinetico is another good brand to own comparing others, because they also don't over claimed & they are famous with their auto valve.

Note: I am not promoting them nor any business related with them. It is only a genuine advice from my personal experience.

Just receive quote for Outdoor Filter (Auto Flushing System):

1. Janzten RM2088
2. Puregen RM1500

Both looks the same, but Janzten too expensive and not only that, have to service them every 6 months and it's chargeable for RM500 for One Year.. Damn farking expensive lor.. this Janzten..

As far as i know, this Auto Flushing System does not need Service that frequently..correct?
