Both using sand as filtration media (norminal 5 micron filtration), both also SUS 304 grade stainless steel hence durable but price perfect steel is much cheaper.
Design and size, perfect steel is better also. If u r looking for even better water filtration quality, get our new multipore membrane 0.01micron filtration.
Many customers bought UF (UltraFiltration) Membrane filters because the design is slim and looks much nicer compared to those big and bulky sand filters. However, they are not aware, how ugly the filter looks like after installation.
If u have choosen to purchase any outdoor water filters because of the design, i suggest you ask the seller to show u some photos how the unit looks like after installation. Here is a sample, the photo on the left is the standard design that shops are selling in malaysia
Ultra Filtration (UF) filter is not so suitable for domestic usage. Reason is its subject to fouling that need chemical cleaning (acid, caustic etc) to be effective. As time goes by, the pressure will drop because of the fouling until no flow. Constant backwash alone is not going to help.

Just check with Alphamax. They have ss304 casing, sand type and lifetime warranty. Price about 2.3k RM. Size 8 inch diameter casing. Anyone use this before and can share some experience? I am thinking to survey Perfect steel since quite good comments from here. Please give me some suggestions.

Perfect Steel is the same as Alphamax as they are from the same factory. My Perfect Steel offer is for 10" diameter and it is less than RM2k inclusive installation

Hi, below 2k means how much to be exact? Location in puchong. Also i heard perfect steel infill need to replace evey 5 years whereelse Alphamax is lifetime warranty and no need to replace. What is the cost of replace the infill? Is the top valve SS or PVC? How low micron Perfect Steel can filter?

if both brands using the same sand, why their 1 no need replace? We debated this also in this thread.
1) When u backwash, sand get mixed up, 5 micron filtration is not consistent and could go upto 20 micron over few years, that is why we need to change
2) Backwash cant 100% remove all the dirt that is trapped inside the filter
YES u dont have to change the sand as sand wont spoil but for optimum performance u need to replace them averagely 4 to 5 years once
