After read detailed explanation from Zheilwane I still can't decide whether to get the Cloth type or the Sand type of outdoor filtration system. 3M cloth type is not cost effective for my heavy usage, so what about Diamond Cloth type? Some ppl told me Diamond one we just need to do regular backwash to keep it clean, then only ask them to do a pressure wash on the cloth filter every two years for RM60.

Advantages of Cloth type that really concern me are the better consistency in filtration than Sand type, and no chances of sand entering my piping and potentially damaging my washing machine etc. Do we really need to pressure wash the diamond cloth filter every 3 months if we do frequent backwash? Hope users of diamond can shed some light here.

Just the stainless steel and charcoal used is something I will avoid directly.
This filter are good to producing mosquitoes breeding bed.
Stainless steel will be corroded over the time by the chlorine or ammonia.
