After read detailed explanation from Zheilwane I still can't decide whether to get the Cloth type or the Sand type of outdoor filtration system. 3M cloth type is not cost effective for my heavy usage, so what about Diamond Cloth type? Some ppl told me Diamond one we just need to do regular backwash to keep it clean, then only ask them to do a pressure wash on the cloth filter every two years for RM60.

Advantages of Cloth type that really concern me are the better consistency in filtration than Sand type, and no chances of sand entering my piping and potentially damaging my washing machine etc. Do we really need to pressure wash the diamond cloth filter every 3 months if we do frequent backwash? Hope users of diamond can shed some light here. smile.gif

According from info from a customer, they sign a 1 year offer with them. 3 months wash once. Impossible the cloth can tahan 2 years..

I can testify that this outdoor one works excellent:-- https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3145425/all

~2.5k incl. installation. Easy filter cleaning by flushing once every month or two. Filter replacement ~450 every 2-5 years. And the worn out filter sand and charcoal can be used to fertilize your lawn.

Just the stainless steel and charcoal used is something I will avoid directly.
This filter are good to producing mosquitoes breeding bed.
Stainless steel will be corroded over the time by the chlorine or ammonia.

The outside is stainless steel. The real housing underneath it isn't so there is no such issue. A proper care taken and maintenance will reduce risk of contamination from the outlet.

break d jus buy a new one, dont think factory will fix it. You need to call your supplier to confirm this. For perfect steel if crack within warranty period, 1 to 1 exchange

it could reduce sediments and rust nominal 5 micron. Never customer complain about yellowish water after perfect steel unless underground pipe after the filter is GI pipe (will rust) hence water still yellowish even after filter
