page 1 post #6 IS ROOTING BY FLASHING A PRE ROOTED ROM. Some users just want to root only
you only flash a pre rooted rom if your rom is not listed/not rootable and you don't mind flashing ANOTHER ROM NOT YOUR STANDARD STOCK
*
Thanks Uncle Benny for the clarification.. My main reason for root ATM is to install and enable market enabler.. rclxms.gif

My kernel is LA6, from xda, it says not rootable. Meaning, I need to install the prerooted singapore rom as in page 1#6?
If I were to unroot, where to get pure stock rom? I assume, any rom will do, right? Not necessary to find same LA6, right?

Edited: from xda, is this the simplest for all type of kernal just to get rooted?
Part Two : Final Procedure
1. I want just Root- Download This
Then, run it on pc?

You can install the Spore prerooted rom

If you wish to maintain your present rom, only way is to downgrade and root than flash back your rom. Refer my blog

Download any stock official rom from here : You can flash any of these roms in your phone

No problems with Nokia-provided micro-USB cable (the 30cm short-like-Napolean one). In fact, I use that cable to charge at home while I bring the charger wherever I go in case need to charge suddenly.
*
I notice that the good quality branded chargers cables seem ok. I tried a USB-microUSB cable from my previous Blackberry and a charger from my Jabra BT headset, they all seem to plug in ok. It's the cheapo one that had problems.

I think I need to spend some money on a good quality cable. I need another cable to use as a car charger. Any recommendations?

By then the phone will be bulky already. I prefer using spare battery but everybody have their own preference :-)

Buy another Note, take the USB cable from it. ( ゚∀゚)アハハ八八ノヽノヽノヽノ \ / \/ \

To be serious, I guess you can just get the official accessories from either Nokia or Samsung. Only the cable should be pretty cheap.

I use the app and apparently the ROM developer for Litening was illegally putting it in to his ROM without permission. That's why I wanted to know if it's true or not lol.

I have checked, nope.
