Guys, any info on how to boost signal strength. My signal strength is always between -111dBm and -90 or so. Can never hold anything higher than that. Always in-out-in-out. I get no reception at my house in Tropicana, PJ. I'm using galaxy note stock 2.3.6 ROM not rooted. Using digi smartplan. I don't think it's digi as my wife's HTC wildfire (also digi) shows -79 in the house, while I'm showing -111 all the time.

Totally weird and extremely frustrating. Don't get the same issue on my iphone3gs
*
Have you tried different provider SIM card?

I'm using Celcom but apparently my house is a 'black hole' area for it, so I also get over -99 db within my house, but it's okay once outside... anyways, I tried with a Maxis SIM card and suddenly I get super great reception within the house sleep.gif;;;

I suggest you try with either Maxis or Celcom SIM and see if its also that bad reception. If so, it really could be due to provider.

The easiest way to root without becoming like a flashing addict is root but do not install CWM.

Do you guys find that most other microUSB cables have a really tight fit into the charging slot? I had a 3rd party microUSB cable that I sometimes used to charge my SGS2. It was snug but I didn't have to force it in but I find that I almost have to force it into my Note. The original samsung ones go in without a problem. Does the Note have a tighter slot?

Please stop using the 3rd party Micro usb charger which may not really fit into the note.
I have one and when i realized that the slot is tight, i stop as you may spoil the phone.

Good news for Note and Tab users:

Google may have slacked on its Android Developer’s Challenge, but Samsung isn’t messing around with encouraging developers to design high-quality Android apps. The company already held an S Pen dev challenge that wrapped a few weeks ago, and it’s already hosting another competition that will reward more 80 developers with a total of $4,080,000 in cash prizes.

The Samsung Smart App Challenge 2012 seeks Android developers to create great apps for the Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note devices in its Samsung Apps store.

I use the app and apparently the ROM developer for Litening was illegally putting it in to his ROM without permission. That's why I wanted to know if it's true or not lol.

No problems with Nokia-provided micro-USB cable (the 30cm short-like-Napolean one). In fact, I use that cable to charge at home while I bring the charger wherever I go in case need to charge suddenly.

page 1 post #6 IS ROOTING BY FLASHING A PRE ROOTED ROM. Some users just want to root only
you only flash a pre rooted rom if your rom is not listed/not rootable and you don't mind flashing ANOTHER ROM NOT YOUR STANDARD STOCK

Well, i've never actually needed to emergency charge just yet. It's more of a backup. Note battery life is pretty damn decent as long as you get home every night.
