QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ May 23 2014, 04:51 PM)
I could say that Asus has the worst customer service team and very bad warranty claims management. Sent my notebook to them for RMA and after 9 days, not a single call were answered by their service centre. When I called their hotline, their customer service doesn't seem to know whats happening with the status of the repairs other than saying that it is under process. And they keep telling me that the notebook is under diagnosis. 10 Days of diagnosis for a hard disk failure? Wtf are their technicians morons?
Im really dissapointed with this kind of service by Asus. So for the rest of you here who are considering buying an Asus, better think again with this kind of customer service.
Just and update, As mentioned send in my notebook for RMA since 5/5/5014 and until now after countless calls to
1) ASUS CS HOTLINE - Foreigners picking up calls and have no idea of the status of the Repairs, Keep telling me to wait.

2) Service Centre In Lowyat - Never Picks up calls

3) ASUS Facebook - Promised to get Service Centre People to Call me but never did

4) ASUS Online Repair Status - Still same status, Under Repairs Since Day 1.
Been given the runaround and nobody seems to be bothered to attend to your case doh.gif
Im appalled by this kind of customer service. shakehead.gif

Glad to have you on board bro.. thumbup.gif

Yes that's right, don't bother emailing them or call them. Get to tribunal straight, then let them deal directly to Asustek themselves. At least that's what I've done.. whistling.gif

No...I dont want to be on board bro. Thats my work notebook and Im stuck right now. Really regret buying ASUS. No more ASUS for me from now on.

Does it help to be present in their service centre in lowyat and kick up a fuss there?
*
Hahaha just joking bro.. Yeah, please spread the words. Make no one be the victim of Asus again..

No point, they'll just buka laptop, key in your RMA no and tell u same shit like what you can see from the RMA repair enquiry.. If you ask him to pressure technician, he will say they are some where else, because they sub out the repairs to 3rd party.. laugh.gif

I met a guy send in for repair for 6 months edi also never get back his laptop, halfway he requested not to repair it any more and send it back to him also he waited god knows how long...

But... You can still try... sweat.gif sweat.gif

QUOTE(mfitri77 @ May 23 2014, 08:49 PM)
Sometimes I figure the best way to really burn Asus is this. Collect as many pending cases as we can. Write down all the stories, record all the telephone conversation, then we straight away do press conference.

Imagine what Asus would say or do if the headline reads "Don't Buy Asus! Very Bad Service". That will burn them.
*
That'll be too much hassle and provided you have that much time.. whistling.gif

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ May 23 2014, 10:24 PM)
Another way is to stalk their FB page. Is there any other method or channels we can complain to or something?
*
My friend, that'll be useless.. They have not responded to a single complaints in Asus Global, Asus Malaysia (can't post on their wall), Asus India and etc.. Don't bother to find ways unless you've been contacted by the right department from Asustek Malaysia..

I do have the Customer Care Specialist's no. but I'm afraid without going through proper procedure, he will not, and cannot do much for you also as they have not gotten instructions from their superior and what not..

My suggestion to you, go to http://www.nccc.org.my/ NCCC, complain there, wait for them to follow up with you and you follow the proper procedure. Asus have no balls to deal with people that have reported to tribunal. Hence your case will be somewhat solved a lot quicker.. rclxub.gif

Hope that helps.. doh.gif

Good luck to you bro. Laptop still under warranty?

I don't think that will make any difference since the technician friend u are referring to, is technically not your personal friend. Why would you think he would help u? Unless u belanja him/her kopi lah haha..

Maybe got some ppl kind help ppl one ma  biggrin.gif
i really saw comment like if anyone want send warranty i can help like this  rclxms.gif

btw if minor issues like replace a bluray drive + cleaning dust reapply thermal paste , can i request for same day collect since its easy job ?

Yes under warranty until september .
*
Haha good luck in finding then.. shocking.gif

I highly doubt they'll be able to deliver it at the same day as I was always told their technician is always in a "far far away land". Hence sending your laptop back and forth will take at least.. 1 week few months? shocking.gif

If they say yes, I doubt they'll deliver on time also. They'll make empty promises, let you wait for nothing, whole day merayau-rayau in lowyat wasting time, then when u go and collect they'll ask u to come a week after or later.. whistling.gif Usual lah dealing with them really... nod.gif

Wa warranty ending so soon? Then better go get it replaced quickly, but be prepared that it may not come back in 2 weeks time lah yah.. Think of a backup plan first if the laptop is for work..

This is the way Asus works.. But if I were Asus, this is what I'm gonna tell u in a Asus's Taichi Master way:

We have done whatever we can for the touch screen issue as we have replaced the touch screen panel for you. (replaced or not you also don't know because they like to bluff) The rest of the software stuff, you gotta call up Microsoft and wait for an explanation from them. Windows 8 is not under our control.... etc etc etc..... About the box, are you sure you send in the box also?! Our people here said they confirm never receive your device in a box woh. (people from the service centre are liars.. they promise you something, but never commit. This guy call Mahadi from lowyat service centre promised to post an unreturned receipt to me by SMS, saying will post back tomorrow. But wait 1 month also no action and he quit edi now, GOOD FOR HIM! thumbup.gif )

This is the kinda shit answer the support level will give you in an unprofessional way. Especially those guys from the service center.. vmad.gif

The level of frustration for me on Asus is endless as I've been dealing with them up and low, with their support level, to their Customer Support Expert level, and I can tell you the experience is BAD...

They outsourced all the work to others unprofessional

Service/repair = Vital Computer
Asus pickup and return service = Scan Print Sdn.Bhd.
Courier service for pickup and return service = GD Express
Asus tech support English = India call center
Asus tech support Malay = Indonesia call center

For me at least I appreciate Acer.maybe the quality is not good but their technical support all handle by highpoint service network sdn. bhd. which I can track easily, not like those Indian accent tech support
*
Yes correct, everything outsourced to highest businessman who pays the most to get it's name, ASSus.. thumbup.gif

Hoho, thanks bro for the additional info.. Never called their tech support before as I know they are the first level support officer whom cannot do shit for anyone other than asking you to send in to the service center.. Have you tried calling the lowyat's service center? Their number exist but people around the phone doesn't.. sweat.gif No matter how many times you call, everyone in the service center will suddenly disappear.. whistling.gif

Real situation ... My company, user laptop got coffee splash in ... Sent in for warranty, the tech said all components spoilt, even include motherboard and harddisk ... After they return, I opened up the laptop, and I CONFIRM the Harddisk is accessible, helped user to backup all files ....

Reason I dont want to open before I sent in the unit is I dont want to void warranty ... BUT ... with this type of support, warranty = no warranty ...

got extra money no place to spend, go ahead and try your luck ...
*
My friend's Dell story:
Coffee splashed into his Dell laptop on the last week of warranty period. Called technician, came and change parts on the spot without charging him extra.

Your story is totally the opposite. sweat.gif

Generalisation? I have a few Asus products at home and all of them are still working fine.
*
From what I heard from the laptop salesmen, he says older Asus laptop got more problems but the newer ones all "better" already. Not sure which part is "better".. sweat.gif

You mentioned you have a few products at home, is it laptop or hardware? I think their hardware is better than their laptop / mobile devices..

I had an Asus laptop purchased in 2009, sold it to a friend in 2010 and it is still working even until today, and no warranty / repairs had to be done whatsoever. Haven't had any recent experience with Asus products as this thread alone makes me TRIPLE-think every time I'm just beginning to consider an Asus product.  rclxms.gif
*
From what I gathered around me before I got my Asus product, my cousin's laptop had serious problem in 2 years of usage, whole laptop suddenly kaput and in order to fix it, he have to pay RM1000+.

Even so, I still want to give Asus a chance even though my father ask me not to as he also had really bad experience with their after sales service. I insisted to get the S400CA but in the end I also ended up complaining Asus product here as well.. sweat.gif

+1, I suppose the repair services will be more or less similar hmm.gif

As much as I love the new Asus phones/ tablets, I am still waiting until Asus Malaysia clears up its bad reputation
*
Don't think they're bothered with their bad reputation as if you go and see Asus India / Asus Global's facebook page, you can see the whole comments section flooooooooooooooded with lots of complaints from all over the globe.

Do they even care? Nope, they don't even give a sh******t or f***. So call "the world's fifth-largest PC vendor by 2013 unit sales" according to wikipedia.

What they care, is no. of sales and to release more products to con consumer with their "professionally designed" device that will defect in less than 3 days (like what happen to my S400CA). mad.gif

Your cousin's laptop was over warranty period already, right? If yes, then most likely the charges will be high since motherboard replacement is not cheap. And also, Asus seems to make everything seem very integrated, and you can't just change individual minor parts, but whole major parts.
*
Correct, it was over warranty already and I fully understand the repair cost needed.

But my point to bring this out is to highlight on it's bad built quality. Not just one Asus laptop have been like this which happens to happen around me, is a few excluding my cousin's. That is why I came to a conclusion that Asus = nightmare quality + hell after sales service.

My company's old dell have been around for at least 4 years and it's still strong other than the battery of course. nod.gif

Yes, please share more true life stories so that consumers won't get conned by this stupid rubbish brand. thumbup.gif

In the case of water damage and etc, when I'm at Machines Service Centre at The Gardens, CS there will honestly advice you to buy a new one instead of repairing the kaput unit.

But for Asus CS, they very cincai one.. Do things so unprofessionally like we bought the gadgets from pasar malam like that.. shakehead.gif

For my RMA case pulak, bought the S400CA with RM2099, but the CS from Asus think I am "water fish" and advice me to get a replacement of another cheaper model (worth RM1500++) when my 2nd S400CA unit fails me again. yawn.gif Don't they know we can sue them for cheating customer's money on this? hmm.gif nod.gif
