I got the exactly same case as urs. My laptop S400CA has broken-down 5 times in total within 10 months. They do not willing to give me a replacement unit until i complaint to tribunal and NCCC. Horrible experience with ASUS.now still waiting for their reply whether I can get replacement unit.
*
What exactly happen that your laptop have broken down? Mine was the touchscreen had a 'water mark" in the middle of the panel, caused by the front and middle glass touching with each other. Don't affect much on the laptop but it's very very annoying.

Yes, reporting to tribunal / NCCC will make Asus's balls shrink a bit, hence they will deal with you in a more manner way. Job well done, but please be aware that if they offer you with another laptop, do research properly first before accepting it. If not they'll gonna treat you as water fish, giving you a lower market value laptop to cover your problematic one.

Have you spoken to any of the customer support specialist on the phone / email yet?

QUOTE(EdwinCodec @ Jul 30 2014, 09:45 PM)
Do you think they'll improve their service in 1-2 years time as I'm planning to get G750 lappy haha
*
IMO, nope. Unless they bankrupt and their whole management in Malaysia change inside out.

mine got water mark at the first time, after that cannot boot into window for 4 times. On the 4th repair, they have broken-down my battery and touch screen. I was really frustrated with ASUS.
I am dealing with Alvin and Karen, how about you? They seems like not willing to give me replacement before I complaint to Tribunal.
Now they offered me A450LD with Intel Core i5 which is rm1999 normal market price before rebate. I have requested got A450LD with Intel Core i7 and they said need approval from management.
*
I was dealing with Stefanie at first, then she quit and took over by Alvin. I believe your complaints are more on the service centre right?

After finding out my problem, what I did was go straight and report to NCCC after I made a complaint to Asus while waiting for Asus side because I knew they will drag until god knows when. Then as expected, they copy pasted those official reply "please send in your device for us to diagnose....." those kind and it pisses me.

NCCC then contacted me and ask me to send in to service centre and blah blah blah. But I somehow managed to google the Asustek main office tel no. and called them to follow up personally with the person in charge. laugh.gif After that, all other back and forth problems all contacted via email, in order for me to keep proof of conversation and etc.

In my case, they tried to "con" me with a much much cheaper priced and older model laptop, that's why I get to request. nod.gif It's a very long and tiring process to be honest.. I was back and forth to lowyat plaza many times just to get this sorted out.

So any updates on your case now? rolleyes.gif

this is my 2nd Asus laptop problem. The 1st Asus laptop have Ethernet hardware problem and i get it replaced at the computer shop. Now, I have charging problem. I tried to call Asus Low Yat service centre to check on the opening hour but no one pick up. I checked on google that the opening hour is until 9pm. I reached at 8.05 PM and the service girl keep telling me it's close and she ask me to come again. I was like speechless and the other guy kind enough to let me in to send the laptop for warranty. After like sitting in the service centre for about 3 minutes, the girl told me that "we already close" than I answer her it wont take long for me to send my laptop in and guess what she answer? She answer that "I wanted to go back". Is it that hard to serve 1 more last customer that takes her about 2 minutes. She seems very unhappy about it. I would never support Asus product anymore. Look at Dell service, It's superb.
*
Yes. Learn your lesson and go for other brands instead. Because of the shitty experience I had before, I am 10000000% anti-Asus already. No matter how good is their product on paper looks like. vmad.gif

If it happens the same night, you should be able to exchange 1-to-1 from the dealer you dealt with right? Why bother sending to the service centre?

Next time, if something happen like this, record it down using your phone and prove it to them when you send in for warranty.

Tell you what, they sub out all their repairs to other repair guys who is not working under Asus. That's what I heard when I went and claim for my laptop, heard the CS guy chit chatting with a dealer in Plaza Lowyat. That is why, you don't get any quotation from anyone, coz they basically sub out all kinda shit to other smaller companies to cut cost.

So technically they are not really "under" Asus. whistling.gif

like that will get non-original asus parts?
*
I think parts will be definitely originals, but what I meant is the professionalism you're getting, will not be a 100%.

Let me put it this way, Asus = contractor, sub out technician = labourer.

A house starts getting renovated. Contractor told his labour to do everything, but the labour don't update the contractor on the problem faced / the things messed up. At the end of the day, when the owner comes back with complains with damaged doors / walls, contractor will take it all. Whose fault is it? Contractor never QC, laborer never feedback on things they don't know / not sure how to do. I strongly believe at some point, Asus will fail tremendously regardless of how many good product they produced.

If Asus can't keep a customer happy, customer will walk and choose other brands, like me, you and everyone else in this thread. nod.gif

That makes sense? icon_rolleyes.gif

In my case, I believe one unpleasant experience edi enough for me to go for other brands now.

Whenever friends / relatives of mine say to buy Asus, I will ask them to think properly and keep their finger crossed LOL.. yawn.gif

amaze01, I bought my ME400CL in June 2013 I had touchscreen problems and the unrepairable cannot charge problems, I have sent it in for repairs 5 or so times.

The last time i sent in was may 22 2014 which is about a week before 1 yr warranty is over. They have not given it back till now (almost 4 bloody months) They called me 2 weeks to say they have approved a replacement unit, but no more news after that. It's been 2 weeks!!!

Do you think they will give me T100 too? The ME400CL has caused me so much inconvenience and pain... why do I even want it replaced? Do you think they will refund me my money if i request for refund?

Should I also go to the consumer tribunal?

How do you find T100 btw? It doesnt have any slots for SIM cards right?

Thank you for your time.
*
While waiting, go to the consumer tribunal first. If they don't reply / follow up with you, try to call their HQ and complain there.

KEY THING: Remember to mention you've already made a report to tribunal, give them the report no. if you have it and they will attend to you IMMEDIATELY!

From what I managed to google last time, here's their no: 03-2141 6650 (a pain in my ass when I try to look up last time)

Erm well, your case considered quite "fast" for Asus CS already. As I've heard some other guy's case dragged 6 months, then he got fed up waiting, told the CS he dont need the repair already and want the unit to be sent back. But still they kept him waiting until 7th or 8th month he go to the service centre and scolded them when I'm at the scene. shocking.gif

Anyway back to your case, keep following up with them via phone / email to the CS directly. Enquiry email will not work AT ALL from their Asus Malaysia website. Because all they do, is copy paste same email over and over again, but never fulfill. shakehead.gif

do u have any CS email?
i send my laptop before to asus at lowyat plaza. waiting for 2 weeks. after take back the laptop, they still didnt fix the problem. so on 30th july i send back my laptop to emaintenance. they said they need around 2 weeks to fix it bcoz need to order first the faulty part. after 2 weeks, they said item still havent arrive. everytime call them, they will reply with same answer. so on 11th september i called them again. they said they will replace new unit for me which will take another 2 weeks for that. today i called them they said still havent get approval from asus taiwan. dehel mang.
*
When you send in your laptop, the CS will normally give u his email to follow up further after that. At least that's what happen to me in my case last time.. Now they don't give anymore? hmm.gif

If no parts then u got no choice but to wait, keep calling and chase them will be the best way I guess. wink.gif

Their call centre is no call centre, more like |no-call| centre if you get what I mean.. You won't be able to get through to anyone of them through calls, trust me. Been there, done that. nod.gif

just got back my notebook from asus digital mall sec 14 PJ

the mobo, GC, RAM got replaced

total time is 10 days (19 sept - 29 sept), got call that it was ready yesterday night (28 sept)

overall happy with the service center.  recommended.  nod.gif
*
Lucky you bro. They might have parts left and that's why u manage to get it back lighting fast. But bear in mind, eventhough they say replaced, doesn't mean it's really replaced.. hmm.gif

Not trying to be bias here, but with your highest priced laptop, I think they will give you better service. Normal ones like my old S400CA, priced at RM2199, they lazy layan me. whistling.gif

They want to give me a 15" notebook to replace my tablet  cry.gif because they have no more stock and stopped making tablets with such specs.

and because my 1 year warranty ends on 6 June 2014, this new notebook will only be given 3 months warranty.

I am marching into the consumer tribunal tomorrow to report this case.  flex.gif
*
Hey there buddy.. Glad to know at least you got an answer for your reported case. rclxms.gif

However, as they have no more stock left, try to negotiate with them with another tablet then. For example a Nexus 7 2014 edition or some sort? Then only go to tribunal IMO because Asus is trying to solve the case for you, not avoiding you like what happened to me the last time..

Bear in mind you are 101% on the right side. Make use of the situation now to your advantage. thumbup.gif

BTW, be careful of what they are offering you, as they try to sly the last time when they offered me a lower priced laptop. My laptop I paid 2199 for it, but the model they willing to exchanged was a 1499-1699 lower spec model. I found out and countered fire. whistling.gif Google the unit they are willing to replace for you first in Lelong or some sort, if there's a huge difference in pricing and specs, nego with them! thumbup.gif

Gotten back the adapter on last 2 days. Took them 13 days to warranty an adapter. They did replied my email after I send some harsh email to them for my 2nd attempt. After I went to the Service Center, what I can conclude that majority of Asus new laptop and Asus Zenfone do have problem.
*
From my last research on Asus's defected product lists, I believe 90% will have problems after some time of usage. God, even Asus Nexys 7 both edition were reported with loads of problems..

Seriously good luck to whoever that bought an Asus... icon_question.gif
