Everything in oredi bro. Batt, lens cap off. this is my 3rd handheld gimbal. 2 units from alexmos 32 bit and 1 unit ronin M.

I tried emailing Dji for the 1st version firmware. I need to downgrade from firmware IMU 1.2 to lower.
*
Some user on dji forum did have this issue.. Some have luck by restore default settings.. Hope this work.. So far i have no drifting issue..

Cheers,

a dedicated professional video camera with the flexibility of a DSLR usually will break bank.. unless you settle down with a handycam type video recorder which is cheaper..

Sometimes you just won't know what you really want until you start shooting videos for a while.  Maybe you don't want DSLR because you don't want the hassle to learn about lenses and buying them.
Hi guys. thank you for your input. I will signing up for a course on film, media and sound very soon. I will update you more on what I've been doing and what i've learnt. should I create a separate thread or can I post here?

Around KL or Selangor, anyone know where I could find myself a unit of around 2-3ft of L-Shaped BNC cable?

Anyone knows?

I use a T shape BNC adaptor with mine.. So far I have not found any BNC with L connector. How about custom made BNC cable?

I also do use a T-Shape one temporarily, but I still need a solid one. I don't trust jalan pasar anymore, made 2 connectors, all loose or my camera's port is just too sensitive.
I can't even find custom L-Shape ones around Jalan Pasar too.

But for now in seeing if anyone do bring in Atomos's L-Shape BNc or not. I got a friend also selling 20" L-Shape CineCoils, but he's only back from overseas next month. >.<...

Urgh, why is it so hard to find! Dammit :/

Ah Im not sure where to get it but I can try to ask someone from AFE when I see them soon.
They lent me their BNC for a shoot , 1 straigh head and a right angle on the other end. Looks way sturdier than Atomos one.

Cant see in the picture but theres a Bartech attached to it also. Not only shoulder pain man , back pain for 2 weeks lol.
Dont think can use with steadicam arm , if can also no freedom , like that I rather use back steadicam. Even smoother.

Let me clear some of your doubts... Yes it's possible to mount a ronin on a steadicam arms. The ronin has got to be in inverted mode, (As shown here https://instagram.com/p/yplD9ONmn-/ ) but the cheapest solution is the easyrig for prolonged shoots.

More specifically, what is your need, what are you planning on shooting.
Both have their pros and cons.

Hi i more to wedding/event, wanna get my own equipments actually, now using 7d + 60d (company's camera)
so i am thinking invest in my own equipment and i can start my own business soon or freelance...

7d mark II with 1080p 60fps attracted me.
6D low light performance is good.

the price point of each ( body only) is around the same which make me hesitated.

Ain't most of us too... lol.
Ok. So i'm assuming the 60d is your company's camera and you own the 7D. Based on this given assumptions....

Will you be selling your 7D or keeping it as a Cam B option.

So you're attracted to the slightly higher frame rate on the 7d2.
- Do you really need it?
- How often would you use it?

6D do have lowlight capabilities because of the sensor size., but...
- Since it being FF, your cost to operate increase as you need FF lenses. (Do you have the lenses to operate?)
- Good shallow depth of field (bokeh).

We still need more details to work with lol.

For me I'd go with a FF camera body because of the lowlight and shallow depth of field, I can make do without the higher FPS if you know how to get a "clean" footage to use 3rd party application, eg twixtor, to slow it down by half. [You wont get the exact same effect, but still can make do with it since majority of the people can't tell the difference].

Thanks for your reply,

Sorry i din wrote it clearly, both 7d and 60d my company assets.
Yeah, i do use some slowmo whenever on glidecam, and that why i attracted to 1080p 60fps on 7d mark II,
and i saw one of the forumer said its working ISO until 12,800 (actually up to 6400 is great for me)

if go for 6d i need to invest in ef lens,
by the way,

what is the must-have lens in your opinion ?

thanks.

Haha i see, omg i'm so out of touch with DSLR models man.

I see, ok economically it's cheaper in the long run to fund APSC body since lenses are cheaper and there are many varieties and choices. I'd never use anything any more than ISO1600 lol. But if the slowmo is your main selling point for your work.. by all means invest on the 7d2... Else, 6d can allow you to do some artsy stuffs.

for APSC, 17-50mm f2.8 (Equiv to 24-70 for ff) is my general to-go lens.

for 6d, the more versatile and bang forbuck maybe is the 24-105/f4...

THen again, these are just my opinion, given the timing i have, i'll just go prime lenses all the way lol.

Let's see what the others would recommend you. smile.gif

Samyang video lens are great for video at a good price.
Compared to regular canon dslr lens;
They lack autofocus (coz u don't need them)
tstop instead of fstop
Manual aperture ring
Nice focusing ring to be used with follow focus.
Cheap.
