still couldnt understand... coz i just bought my d90 last week.. so im still newbie regarding camera.. what is exactly NLE software?
from what i understand, i need to change the video framerate instead of the audio(external microphone). is that right?
OK. just imagine this, D90 sucks at recording video+Audio (but i still love that camera)
NLE= Non Linear Editing Software, a program which lets you edits you videos... eg, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas, Windows Movie maker.
You dont need to change your framerate, you have to change your editing software to conform to the audio sample rate of your external recorder.... Imagine this.. Your D90 speaks an Audio Language ABC, your external recorder speaks AUdio Language XYZ... you can't match both audio language together because they are completely different... that's why you get your audio offsync..
You have to set your editing program to Audio Language XYZ so that it can match with your external audio file

When shooting movie clips, normally at the beginning of every clip, they will use a wood like object, and then they will called out the clip name , then snap the 2 pcs of wood and it make a sound.
Now only I know why they do that..........hahahahaha
It's called a Time Slate or a Clapperboard

It syncs everything together, plus gives you the scene/take information of that current shoot.
