when u r about to attend an interview, it's good to avoid bad impression. Never Never be late 4an interview! If u r unlucky enough 2get caught in a heavy traffic / accident, pls do call up d interviewer 2inform. Never wear slippers! U can have some minty sweets / chewing gum 2avoid bad breath/ piece of meat fiber stuck on2 ur teeth. Although nervous, try 2smile when u talk, this gv d impression that u r pleasant, friendly n confident. If interviewer ask u in english, reply in english ; ask in malay, reply in malay ; try not 2frequently ask d questions 2b repeated as these shows that either u don understand/ not focus / communication failure. Good luck!

For an entertainment company, the culture can be more open and relaxed. However it doesnt hurt to be a bit overdressed and put on the normal 'smart' office attire despite people around you weearing jeans. After all this is an interview.Read about the latest entertainment news especially the business/marketing/branding side of it. Don;t just know the gossips but do know about the associations, distribution channels, vendors, associations in the industry etc. I wrote 50+ pages of e-book about interview tips and tricks in Malaysia scenario (see signature) so it's a bit difficult to put everything here. NEvertheless, i wishh you all the best |

always be prepared for those mind blogging questions ie. tell me a little bit of yourself, wut will u benefit our company, where do you see urself in 5 years time, wut is yiour weakness... all this are trick questions... be cautious. Do your research first and plan your answers. they may or may not ask... but it's wise to be prepared than to get off guard.

Hi, I'm new....Just want share my experience here..
I went to interviewed two days ago. It was consider as second interview. Actually, the interviewer should be the manager of the department. But, she was busy. So, i interviewed by her assistant again, who was interview me before. Hence, i interviewed by same interviewer as twice. It's quit funny. After that, the interviewer said i might be have third interview if i shortlisted again because the interview process must pass by the manager at last. Honestly, i had scarified my time, leave and fuel prices (quit far) to attend the interviewed. I'm not care to attend the interview at fourth or fifth because I'm really interested to join the company. Hopefully, i can be succeed at last |

Have any of you during the interview stages had to do a field report as an assignment? Weird, huh? I applied for a sales related post at a local MNC.
I have attended the 1st interview last week and today received a call asking me to go to an assigned area and come out with a report. Would you guys do it? All my friends advised me not to since I had more to lose than to gain. There's no allowance whatsoever and need to take leave, in short spending time and money. |

"how would you describe your communication skills?" "how to answer this question in a correct way, do we explain our verbal & no-verbal skills?" I'm never face this question before. I think I'll give some of examples of how i communicate with my colleagues, teammates and others that related with my working environment. Added on September 18, 2008, 11:56 amI get an offered from A company yesterday. But I'm not satisfy with the offered salary because it's not have any changes with my current salary. Actually, i had interviewed with others company recently but no get reply yet. It's convenience i call to the companies and ask whether i be employ or not? Shall i do that? Or else I'm accept the offered from A company 1st, if have other better offer then just reject A company?? Hope can get responds from your guys. Thanks for your comment. Yes, I agree with you. Sure. I can learn new technologies in the new company. Now i try to negotiate the offered salary with the company. Hope they can adjust it. I think i will accept the offer even the salary is same because experience is more valuable compare with salary. |

I think that's a good move. Starting slary is really just a starting point. If you think you'll learn new things and boost up your resume through the company, just go for it. and yeah congratulations and good luck!
