QUOTE(88njhl @ Sep 3 2021, 02:33 PM) Probably due to the following reasons:1. Not interested with the role after review the job scope in details. 2. Don’t want to waste time to attend a job interview that doesn’t fit. 3. Knowing the fact about the role after spoken to the HR. |

Updated the first post with a little bit more information. Will take the time to read through some of the posts here to update it and let me know if you want more information such as using the STAR format to answer interviews.

Added more video interview links as well, good case studies can be found on YouTube which shows how certain companies would conduct their interviews and some of them openly share how their interview process would be like.

QUOTE(benho88 @ Dec 7 2021, 02:54 PM) most probably interested in other offers and don't want waste time and energy in something they not interested in That is fine, but not informing HR or the recruiter who arranged the interview, that is rather unprofessional. GravityFi3ld liked this post

Hi guys, im going to have an interview next week, my field of work is healthcare related,
i started learning programming as a hobby and im planning to add it on as my skills during the interview, i want to know from the perspective of an interviewer, is it an advantage to have this extra skill eventhough initially programming skills are not required at all for the job? |

Wann ask...
When applying or interviewing for a job, why the employer asks: 1. Have I worked as a government official previously? 2. Have I worked for employer auditor before? 3. Did I work as a contract staff with them before? 4. Did I work as a direct or an indirect contractor with them before? 5. Did I work for them before? What is the purpose? |

QUOTE(purple potato @ Jan 18 2022, 11:53 PM) Wann ask... 1. Usually there is a certain conflict of interest or risk that needs to be mitigated, for example, the firm might have a contract with certain government agencies and as part of the contract it doesn't allow the company to poach government staff. Not 100% sure but there have been cases like this before. When applying or interviewing for a job, why the employer asks: 1. Have I worked as a government official previously? 2. What is the purpose? 2. I have never experienced this question 3, 4 and 5 - Mostly about the history with the firm as certain firms have rehiring policies and certain clauses needed to be filled especially if prior experience with it. Also, you should ask the employer what is this information for as well during the interview especially if you have answered no to all of the 5 above. purple potato liked this post

Saw these on LinkedIn and this is really important as well. Out of the many people I have interviewed, only very very few prepare questions to ask. Whether it may be about the role or the culture, but please, be prepared with questions. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() DAPMPBAMCAuto liked this post

Some says; when the interview taking longer than expected, talked more about our personal(goals), talked about pay & availability, it could be a signs that we passed with flying colors.
Is it true? What if at the same time, they didn't share much information about the role & company and seems uncomfortable when I asked about skills they required and the ad hoc/additional tasks. Can someone here share your thoughts? Thank you so much 💕 |

Nothing is certain until you receive the call to say that you have been hired, honestly, the interviewer might have revealed all of that only to suddenly get another candidate that they prefer instead. So don't put your hopes up high based on just that. Is it true? Be cautious about it because those are the bare minimum the interviewer needs to know unless you are interviewing for a consulting firm and work is usually based on client and availability, which makes it understandable. selipar_cunz liked this post

So don't put your hopes up high based on just that. Yeah, nothing is certain even you are selected and sign offer letter soon but cancel due to freeze hiring. Even signed offer also can reject you.If they don't share much information about the role and company, then that really raise some red flags.
