ASUS TF Prime use Aluminium? End Up ASUS have to make a GPS extension kit to solve GPS problems. Aluminium gives premium feel, but gives problems as well.

Do you want to malfunction all your radio systems? NFC capability?...

Plastic "Ahem" is Reinforce Plastic which is durable from drops, take SGS-II as example...

Prefer Polycarbonate/Reinforce Plastic than Aluminium.

Thnx for the info

Youtube for the Corning demo video where they revealed their Gorilla 2 in MWC 2012. It's tougher than Gorilla 1, hence they can achieve the same strength with thinner glass. Overall, reducing profile and weight to the phone.

The top glass on S3 is nice, it made the home button looks like floating. biggrin.gif

Not to mention, it is design for HD displays.  thumbup.gif

If it's glass, I believe screen technology still got years ahead to catch up before they can say "the glass was the bottleneck". laugh.gif

Added on May 5, 2012, 1:33 amAny idea how does the RGB sensor works? Is it some new stuff exclusive to S3 right now?

Still, our first impressions of the Gorilla Glass 2-coverd display are extremely positive - it's even less reflective than that of the Samsung Galaxy S II and offers outstanding image quality.

No doubt that its good. But still, nonetheless, just a reminder, don't think that its shatter proof or scratch proof eh(so don't abuse either your s3 or hox)

you try use sand or diamond scratch, see scratch proof or not sweat.gif

if gorilla glass can sustain scratches from diamond, then I would say that its scratch proof(since I think there wouldn't be much normal goods that can scratch it, exclude those specially made ones in the lab)

Im keen to know the battery life for daily usage, whether it will last long enough anot. Guess have to wait till its available.

Actually the design is not that entirely bad. It just doesn't feel premium, feels like teen spirit tongue.gif Which leads to the next question, who will be sgs3 target market?

actually I do have doubts whether how well can it last as there additional features are actually kinda battery sucking(front cam need to be always on, sound receiver needs be always enabled) but we'll see, we'll see brows.gif
