QUOTE(KuLi @ May 5 2012, 01:06 AM) Material is the same according to that page. Maybe we'll have to get a real hands on to know the difference Just to add, the "hyperglaze" claimed by Samsung is more resistant to scratches This post has been edited by ken2291: May 5 2012, 01:11 AM

QUOTE(Harddisk @ May 5 2012, 01:07 AM) Polycarb is just a kind of touch plastic and it's by no mean some high grade/quality stuff. I hope people don't start turning into iSheeps. In case you all didn't realised, PC also used in making those 1.5lt, 2lt drinking bottle sold in pasar malam, claimed to be "space shuttle material", heh. From what I learned, PC is also very prone to scratches. So those with shiny surface, jaga laaa. Pls read n understd more. Thr are many grades of polycarbonate. Do u seriously think h1x uses the same material like plastic bottles?

If u want to hear praises only, then join the SAMSENG religion.

QUOTE(ken2291 @ May 5 2012, 01:13 AM) Don't think both Samsung and HTC nw will use plastic bottles as their cover for flaship la Dont be too sensitive with the term "plastic bottle". What if there's a phone that uses stainless steel. Would you feel hurt if they said your phone made with kitchen utensils or auntie-favourite-gate material? PC is claimed to be the toughest plastic. It doesn't mean it sucks if it's being used in plastic bottle. Besides, it's not those RM1 mineral water bottle kind of plastic.

QUOTE(tashfinsheikh @ May 5 2012, 01:18 AM) But they should've used something diff like aluminum , as plastic makes it looks a bit cheap, don't you think ? ASUS TF Prime use Aluminium? End Up ASUS have to make a GPS extension kit to solve GPS problems. Aluminium gives premium feel, but gives problems as well. Do you want to malfunction all your radio systems? NFC capability?... Plastic "Ahem" is Reinforce Plastic which is durable from drops, take SGS-II as example... Prefer Polycarbonate/Reinforce Plastic than Aluminium. It's tougher than Gorilla 1, hence they can achieve the same strength with thinner glass. Overall, reducing profile and weight to the phone. The top glass on S3 is nice, it made the home button looks like floating.
