I have a short question. For 8 kg capacity dryer (condenser type), Bosch unit that uses heat pump retails around RM4000, while Electrolux is only at RM2800. What gives? I mean, why is Bosch really worth that much more?

2 different kind of technology la. 1 is heat pump and 1 is condenser type.

Follow the link at post #47 of this thread to a discussion on WM thread that covers all current dryer technology and their pros and cons.

From post #1576 by idoblu there: Heat pump reuses the hot air whereas condensing dryers expels it.

Any thoughts on Panasonic's Econavi Made-in-Japan heat pump washer/dryer NA-VX93GL?

Ya that day I saw it in courts outlet s'pore very nice design and quite tall also.

If you guys thinking for get 2 in 1 maybe that's the right choice.

Just take longer time for complete in whole washe cycled.
If when using in washing time you can't separate use for dry function.

The rest it is good for space saving and heat pump too.
Also cheaper to buy combine set.

I've seen this particular model in a Japanese home makeover show (in the Before segment). That price tag has me drooling. drool.gif

But for me I won't prefer combo to be concern about lint filter tray.

Next time would be same with the video.

No choice. No space. Plus, monsoon season has been killing my laundry.

Edit: not too worried about the lint. The filter's doing its job.

The monsoon happen every year. How you deal with your laundry last time?

Combo don't have filter to take care. This is 1 of the advantage. The lint will wash away from the blower duct once you use the washing mode next time.

Using combo will takeaway the laundry word from your brain. Your weekend is free from doing laundry. Just throw your cloth inside after morning wake up. Set it to wash&dry. That's it. You can go out shopping, TT, dating etc till late night or holiday few day. Comeback and your cloth is ready to wear.

But you can't do too much laundry as the drying need space to tumbler. So if full load, you got to takeout some after finish wash. Actually it can dry with full load. Just take longer time and some not fully dry. Or just adjust to few wash. Up to your daily life to adjust it.

There is pro and con. So decide which 1 more weight to you.

It is not new design. It have since combo in the market.

It is just another design solution cause filter can't be design inside a combo. But having such a design inside combo, it giving an advantage of less maintainance to user.

Last time was our previous home with larger compound and covered backyard to air dry as much as possible. And we had a maid back then so it wasn't as much work.

Thanks for the info. rclxms.gif
