Hi! I decided to go for electrolux dryer model EDV-7051. But, i also came across a newer model EDS 7051. Any comment on these dryer? This dryer is for a small family of 2 adult and 2 young kids.   Not heavy duty! Thanks for your feedback!

7kg no problem at all, cause for your cloths shall be after washed and put on cloth rack wait for next day.

After washing the cloths still have minor wet you may set more longer duration time, let say 30mins but take out still feel like 70% dried only, so you must use for 1 hour at least.

For my case also quite similar like you, 3 adults & 2 kids also for 6kg dryer good than enough.

Get the EDS 7051 much better feature than EDV-7051 don't have Delay Start & Crease Free.

Used ventilation tumble dryer will be slightly slower heat up and taken longer durable time for drying cloths to be completed, also more noisy sound from ventilation fan than condenser unit.

To be compare from duration time for condenser unit just needed 30-40mins can be fully dried, but the tumble model wanna use slightly more duration time for 60mins at least.

The rest don't have much an issue.

Mine is the previous model without black color bottom and look like very old school.

Saw a few that I like ..
Bosch wts86516sg ... I think is heat pump 8kg 4k+
Electrolux edh 3497 9kg heat pump 4k
And panasonic nh-p80g2 (dark horse) 8kg .. Inverter with heat pump 4k

The pana one claim to be really energy efficient A++ but not sure because I've never heard about pana dryer until a few days ago...
Was wondering any of u had experience with any of this models?

Not need headache to be solve out for you now.

Bosch not heat pump is a condenser for input watt at 2800w to be refer thier specs
http://www.bosch-home.com.sg/products/laun...WTS86516SG.html

Bosch is equivalent to electrolux 8kg condenser only.
http://m.electrolux.com.sg/Products/Laundr...yers/EDC2086PDW

Electrolux 9kg is a 100% heat pump at 900w only
Pana 8kg also heat pump at 800w but only do with 8kg.

The benefit from electrolux is a goldwood label and come with tray rack for addition drying for toy or shoe tray.

Pana you can't see inside what happen due to non transparent door window.

So far mine already used a month a go for 26days without weekend go back Jb then didn't used.

My electricity just 495kw only included all the rest for heavy usage also.

Pana is Japan vs Poland then which one much better for sure is Ang mo technology much better.

You can decide for Pana washer dryer for 5k right I think so., 10 & 6 kg dryer but that is too small capacity for daily used.

Off course electrolux heat pump.

Now I am staying in sg HDB flat, can't put outside for natural dried.

Also put inside at kitchen back yard was my laundry place for most of time can't open full window, if got service yard/balcony then problem solved.

So our reason to place a dryer solution solved.
Can see our some home review :
http://www.kimrovacstore.com/my-home-and-stuff-reviews.html

Regarding 2 in 1 may not consider as bad, space saving the reason who buying.

Combo mean one parts fail may both can't used, also wet + dry got mold issue on cloths.

Even lint filter does not require meant dunno where is the fiber dust or debris going.

The reason buy single function much better than combo drive.

Even my Jb home can't without dryer for rain season b4 kids when is baby washed more cloths and towels put outside car porch for natural drying for bad season won't be dryed on same day.

The reason bought our 1st 6kg electrolux tumble dryer for now already up to 4 to 5 yrs still working well.

Actually buying a dryer at behind got some story then you would invest for it.

In curve offer for the Electrolux is 3443 + 645(top up for additional 3 years warranty)
Panasonic is 3361 + 755(top up for additional warranty)

Price only valid if u take the top up.

In Klang price for Electrolux is 4992!!! This not event add the extended warranty!!!

From outside electrolux is 3600 n panasonic is 3870 (a electrical shop in Puchong)

Warranty I think is standard 2 years.
Is the additional warranty worth paying for?any problem so far with ur units?

I m using thid LG combo. So far so good. Most usefull in this rainning season.

But I don't like the smell of the cloth after dyring. Probably because the air recirculate back.

Hi both, in your experience of using the LG combo, would like your opinion:
- Were the clothes really dry enough after each drying cycle ?
- Heard that after the alert sound indicating dry cycle is finished, clothes must be removed immediately or else they will be wet again due to moisture in the machine and clothes hanging till dry is still needed ?
- A separate dryer should do the drying job much better as it is moisture free and thus clothes are really dry ?

Thanks.

You are right from wet drum when turn into dry mode, the energy also waste more than use dryer separate, also most combo do not have dry dust bin for collected dry debris bin.

Can check with latest pana made in Japan 10kg n 7kg heat pump design was comes with dry debris collection bin.

Of course it dry enough. Plenty dry mode selection also.

After dry cycle finish, you can take it out or leave in there. The drum continue run interval for few hr to reduce the wrinkle. But the dry cycle is off.

If the cloth is dry and inside the drum is seal tight, where the moisture come from?

Choose separate type if you have space and a lot of laundry. It save you time if you do few laundry in a day.

HI people,
I am joining this thread because maid ran away. Need to buy dryer coz lazy to sun-dry the laundry. Choices were

Samsung DV80H4200CW/FQ - Condenser Dryer not sure if it got heat pump
Electrolux EDH3497RDW - Heat pump condenser dryer

Electrolux is a old trusted brand while samsung is sort of the new comer. Been using the samsung front loader washing machine for 5 years and during the 3 or 4 year, I have to change the pcb board 1 time.

Laundry room is next to toilet. I got an extraction fan that extract the heat from the laundry room to the toilet. In the toilet i got windows to the back lane.

I have used before the vented hot air type and am leaning towards the condenser for this new purchase. Any comments on the above choices based on the feedback I have written?

thanks in advance.

Samsung condenser dryer input watt from 2850w vs Electrolux heat pump input watt for just 900w only and the price of Electrolux also much higher.

Is depend you wanna do with everyday drying your cloths or 2 days a once.

For me, cause I had my Electrolux tumble dryer at JB home so if I wanna doing dryer for everyday in 1 hour cycle the amount of electric consumption really much higher than used Aircon, maybe of my tumble dryer was not inverter and input watt for 2350w only.

I guess condenser dryer able to do in shorter cycle than tumble dryer, cause condenser design more latest and heat won't lost like vented = tumble dryer.

For another Electrolux heat pump dryer in my s'pore flat, I was done it in 30mins for each job done can able to take out and fold for ready used, but we used it for daily.

In our situalation also cannot put the cloths out for normal sun, we don't have maid for help up in daily to monitor when be rain coming, we are working for whole day, also we don't have balcony yard, like new design hdb flat.

But I also purchased Samsung WW8000 FL from JB and bring to S'pore now, so far so good.

Conclusion :
Heat pump for efficient for daily used basics also energy saving at all.

Condenser taken more shorten cycle than vented dryer, but used more energy.

Vented dryer used less energy but has to set more longer cycle drying than condenser.

Like wanna save time for cycle.

After washed and take out from washer do not direct put in for drying..the cloths still minor wet of the time cycling time more than what you expecte about 45-1 hour.

Cause after washed can be hanger on cloth rack for natural dry on over night 1st.

After works went back home before do cycling needs in short of 30mins drying time only.

Save time & save electric bill.

thank you very much for your input. In terms of reliability which is more prone to fail? condenser type vs vented type?

Go for Electrolux much durable brand.
If from 7kg condenser was made in Poland

Condenser can save place for anywhere without ventilation hose an issue.

I like consenser more than vented model, cause without blow out hot air on back yard.

Hi Ozak,

It is what I heard as people who uses 2-in-1 combo washer/dryer, after washing the drum is wet and it has to immediately turn into drying while moisture may still be kept in the drum.

I have booked an LG combo FL washer/dryer 10.5/6kg but not delivered yet and now is confused whether I should change it to separate individual FL washer, and individual dryer.

Any advice from you all ?

Thanks in advance.
