Went o Harvey Norman to ask

Ventilated is OUT cos need to break hole in Wall

Heat Pump cos 2x the price of condensor, will I ever recover the cost in energy savings

What are other advantage of heat pump over condenser

How much does each drying cycle cost in terms of electricity bill

Does it damage the clothes

Is the dryer still reliable after few years of usage
*
Tumble watt = 2250w
Condenser also = 2300w to 2800w
Heat pump like Aircon system work for 900w only.

Cloths will damage by TL WM out of shape.

From dryer won't spoil your cloths condition, maybe some too much plastic foam would be spoil some corner, for us don't have it issue at all.

Cause like bed sheet or cloths more on cotton so far no issue to damage condition.

Like my 1st tumble dryer still working like new, just few cycle and empty filter only.

The rest no issue.
For my house also put in dry kitchen and open toilet door with exhaust fan to be solve

Talk about dryer cycle usage electric for 1 hour = 3 units Aircons.

hello sifu here,
I would like to consider buy new dryer as this raining season would be dragging months and I just got a son last month. Want some suggestion from sifu here which is more reliable, combo WM or WM and dryer different unit.

For info, my WM also got problem, which cannot hold water after spin, need to manually trigger under the WM. Any suggestion?
*
Here got option for saving to purchase.

1. Used normal WM after job and put on cloths rack over night and then use dryer at last.

2. But new washer/dryer but take longer time for combine together at same time, dunno the electricity how much usage.

Dear Sifus, I am looking to buy a dryer machine. Currently I am looking at these 2 brands:

1. Electrolux - EDP2074PDW
2. Samsung - DV80H4200CW/FQ

My questions:

1. Any forumers have issues with Samsung dryer before? Electrolux was stated reliable and cheap from the above thread.
2. In term of service, which brand is better?
3. Any other complaints on these 2 brands?

Thank you very much.

From Samsung model is 2014 I don't think anyone here already own a one.

But electrolux maybe have some, also electrolux more cheaper with easy by user maintenance with few filter for empty it few cycle job done only.

Even my self before half year own a samsung ww8000 follow by getting 9kg heat pump electrolux also, cause I believed western country do more dryer per daily job, so far mine within a mount also everyday using dryer for dried my cloths as well.

Can refer here.

I have a short question. For 8 kg capacity dryer (condenser type), Bosch unit that uses heat pump retails around RM4000, while Electrolux is only at RM2800. What gives? I mean, why is Bosch really worth that much more?
*
Bosh if made in Germany maybe pay for worth.
If made in Asia does not meant you pay the bosch can be show off at all.

All design was the same.

If 4k and top up another a bit more can consider for heat pump just 4.6k only from electrolux 9kg somemore and made in Poland wow.

Any thoughts on Panasonic's Econavi Made-in-Japan heat pump washer/dryer NA-VX93GL?

Ya that day I saw it in courts outlet s'pore very nice design and quite tall also.

If you guys thinking for get 2 in 1 maybe that's the right choice.

Just take longer time for complete in whole washe cycled.
If when using in washing time you can't separate use for dry function.

The rest it is good for space saving and heat pump too.
Also cheaper to buy combine set.

But for me I won't prefer combo to be concern about lint filter tray.

Next time would be same with the video.

The monsoon happen every year. How you deal with your laundry last time?

Combo don't have filter to take care. This is 1 of the advantage. The lint will wash away from the blower duct once you use the washing mode next time.

Using combo will takeaway the laundry word from your brain. Your weekend is free from doing laundry. Just throw your cloth inside after morning wake up. Set it to wash&dry. That's it. You can go out shopping, TT, dating etc till late night or holiday few day. Comeback and your cloth is ready to wear.

But you can't do too much laundry as the drying need space to tumbler. So if full load, you got to takeout some after finish wash. Actually it can dry with full load. Just take longer time and some not fully dry. Or just adjust to few wash. Up to your daily life to adjust it.

There is pro and con. So decide which 1 more weight to you.

Wow cool for new design without lint filter tray, next time I would go for it and realise how clean to be compare used dryer separate smile.gif

Hi! I decided to go for electrolux dryer model EDV-7051. But, i also came across a newer model EDS 7051. Any comment on these dryer? This dryer is for a small family of 2 adult and 2 young kids.   Not heavy duty! Thanks for your feedback!
*
7kg no problem at all, cause for your cloths shall be after washed and put on cloth rack wait for next day.

After washing the cloths still have minor wet you may set more longer duration time, let say 30mins but take out still feel like 70% dried only, so you must use for 1 hour at least.

For my case also quite similar like you, 3 adults & 2 kids also for 6kg dryer good than enough.

Get the EDS 7051 much better feature than EDV-7051 don't have Delay Start & Crease Free.

Used ventilation tumble dryer will be slightly slower heat up and taken longer durable time for drying cloths to be completed, also more noisy sound from ventilation fan than condenser unit.

To be compare from duration time for condenser unit just needed 30-40mins can be fully dried, but the tumble model wanna use slightly more duration time for 60mins at least.

The rest don't have much an issue.

Mine is the previous model without black color bottom and look like very old school.

Hello all ...headache thinking of what to buy ...

Saw a few that I like ..
Bosch wts86516sg ... I think is heat pump 8kg 4k+
Electrolux edh 3497 9kg heat pump 4k
And panasonic nh-p80g2 (dark horse) 8kg .. Inverter with heat pump 4k

The pana one claim to be really energy efficient A++ but not sure because I've never heard about pana dryer until a few days ago...
Was wondering any of u had experience with any of this models?
The guys

Not need headache to be solve out for you now.

Bosch not heat pump is a condenser for input watt at 2800w to be refer thier specs
http://www.bosch-home.com.sg/products/laun...WTS86516SG.html

Bosch is equivalent to electrolux 8kg condenser only.
http://m.electrolux.com.sg/Products/Laundr...yers/EDC2086PDW

Electrolux 9kg is a 100% heat pump at 900w only
Pana 8kg also heat pump at 800w but only do with 8kg.

The benefit from electrolux is a goldwood label and come with tray rack for addition drying for toy or shoe tray.

Pana you can't see inside what happen due to non transparent door window.

So far mine already used a month a go for 26days without weekend go back Jb then didn't used.

My electricity just 495kw only included all the rest for heavy usage also.

Pana is Japan vs Poland then which one much better for sure is Ang mo technology much better.

You can decide for Pana washer dryer for 5k right I think so., 10 & 6 kg dryer but that is too small capacity for daily used.

Wow. The kimsim.... You are using the pans or Electrolux one? What the reason actually u got the dryer? Or is it better to get 2 in 1. My wife asking to get 1 .. Say top priority faster ... No need wait for clothes to dry
*
Off course electrolux heat pump.

Now I am staying in sg HDB flat, can't put outside for natural dried.

Also put inside at kitchen back yard was my laundry place for most of time can't open full window, if got service yard/balcony then problem solved.

So our reason to place a dryer solution solved.
Can see our some home review :
http://www.kimrovacstore.com/my-home-and-stuff-reviews.html

Regarding 2 in 1 may not consider as bad, space saving the reason who buying.

Combo mean one parts fail may both can't used, also wet + dry got mold issue on cloths.

Even lint filter does not require meant dunno where is the fiber dust or debris going.

The reason buy single function much better than combo drive.

Even my Jb home can't without dryer for rain season b4 kids when is baby washed more cloths and towels put outside car porch for natural drying for bad season won't be dryed on same day.

The reason bought our 1st 6kg electrolux tumble dryer for now already up to 4 to 5 yrs still working well.

Actually buying a dryer at behind got some story then you would invest for it.
