Hi sifu.. I am not sure bout the original sim. I think is AT&T. what is the step to unlock it? i tried both digi and celcom sim on it not work.

I would suggest you to use Auto Detect

1. Jailbreak with newest version of redsnow
2. Add repo "repo.bingner.com"
3. Install "SAM" (it will install alot of other stuff as well)
4. Go to SAMPrefs on springboard -> Utilities -> Unactivate iphone
5. Back to main menu -> Method -> Auto dectect -> Wait
6. Back to main menu -> More information -> Spoof Real SIM to SAM
7. Back to main menu
8. Plug phone up to itunes (it will error out)
9. Close itunes and restart it (it should pick up signal and let you use itunes as normal)
10. So back to SAMPrefs and disable SAM

The latest redsn0w that recently implemented the A5 exploit was released 3 days ago and I also cannot find a guide.

I would recommend you to use Absinthe.

redsn0w jailbreak has always been the same, i don't see the need for a guide though.

Note that 5.0 and 5.0.1 jailbreak's are the same, u can use a 5.0.1 absinthe for 5.0, no problems

yeah,for my previous iphone,i usually jb using redsnow,should be no problem
but this time need to use new software,absinthe which im not familiar with,just afraid of error,that's all

for sure need to restore back to original setting right ?
can i restore back to my previous ios 5.0 or need to proceed to the latest one 5.1 ?

If you are using the 4S, you can only restore to 5.1, if you are on iPhone 4 and have saved your SHSH, you can restore to 5.0 via iFaith.

im using 4s , bad for me then if anything happen later
already download both software for jailbreak,absinthe and redsnow but still dilemma which one to try ..
for absinthe,i read many review saying that this software is not that good,error occur here and there

Some people say okay and had no issue. I didn't have any problem because I jailbroke the 4S after a fresh restore to 5.0.1 (which is not an option for you).

Absinthe uses the iTunes backup exploit so if you have a lot of data in the 4S, that could cause a problem (or the jailbreak can take forever).

Based on the guide for redsn0w for the 4S, it looks simple enough.
