S3 will have better future proof compared with S2. It completed what S2 trying to achive right from the box. Consider it as a complete S2. :-)

I used non G S2 for a year and get bored with it. Now im using HTC one X and loving it.

I agree. S2 is a great phone, if got RM 2k, instead of getting a S3, recomend get an android tablet.
maybe a quad core tablet like transformer prime, or galaxy note10.1

with phone and tablet, its best of both worlds.
tablet is like phone, can install the same apps, but the best part is big screen, EXCELLENT battery life.

S3 no matter great, its still a phone, the experience is quite similar.
if got a tablet, its a brand new experience entirely.

having a phone + tablet combo is really a good experience.

GSC.

i saw uncle benny's comment about HOX, comparing it with galaxy note, seems like HOX consuming more battery than galaxy note.. i dont own HOX but to me quad-core for a phone is almost useless IMO. imagine the phone is like a computer, limitations of some hardware will cause some lagginess, slow boot etc.

i think most of us here hope that our battery of the phone can last more than a day, or the best like last time 3310, last for the whole week without charging it, less heat coming from the phone, right?

S2 is actually the perfect phone...if it doesn't hangs so frequently. I wonder if HTC new One-X and One-V hangs as often...any user who has tried both can give comments?

IMO, tablet is different story and usage...my wife use it for some presentation purpose (GTab 7.7), surely better than the phone coz larger screen. But in essence both are the same functions. A smartphone can carry in your pocket everywhere, gtab 7.7 is portable enuff to store in ladies handbag...for me, i still don't like to carry a tab....unless i carry a man-bag...just leceh...maybe i am just to lazy...LOL.

phone of cos bring around everywhere. tab place is meant to be at home, use at night after work. :-)

S2 hang all the time? yours G version? the non G one doesnt hang.

What non-G doesn't hang...same also...don't kid yourself. Both version has it's own set of problems. G solves some heat problem but compromise a little performance. But when it comes to hanging...it's a Samsung ™....
LOL. Just live with it, as long as not too often, then it's ok.

btw, i use my S2 for watching movies stream over WIFI from my server..all the TV dramas...tab too bright, whole room becomes bright liao.....disturb wife....S2 is just small enough and light...much better...hands don't get tired holding S2...if holding tab, kennot lar...sometimes i drop the S2 because fall asleep while watching.....if holding tab....BANG!!!!....on my face...haha...and i got my earphones plugged in, so not comfortable if put at side and turn head over...

Seriously non-g doesn't hang at all. My had never hang unless i am testing/trying new kernel.

agree with that.. on official ROM all the time nvr once hang, except the application FC-ed

i also know a lot of people using non-G also hang on stock ROM. Googling the internet will shows non-G will also have it's own problems...Zzzz...

Just google "galaxy s2 i9100 hang"...

nope, non-G here, no problem at all, no hang, no heat issue, no sdcard issue.

Oh you mean stock rom.. I'm on Check Rom by the way... blame themselves for owning a non-G and still use stock rom

Seriously if non-g can hang it is probably problem with the user or rogue app. Example temple run

compare to the number of sales of non-g unit, the amount having issue is not high at all. Thus its usually isolated cases of bad luck or getting a problematic unit or user problem.

Regarding whether non-G S2 will hang or not is really a subjective topic as different people has different apps in their phone and use their phone differently, the discussion is really meaningless.

I've used stock rom for quite a long time before flashing and yeah, s2 is very stable never hangs. That's why never bothered flashing before cos happy the way it is.
