The mounting and front camera FC issues only exist in AOSP/AOKP rom if not mistaken, if you are on sammy's rom shouldn't encounter these.

Regarding whether non-G S2 will hang or not is really a subjective topic as different people has different apps in their phone and use their phone differently, the discussion is really meaningless.

Just flash the ROM directly, it should comes with a ICS kernel by default, be it CFroot or any other custom kernel.

Just go with it, it is a good phone.
Else borrow it from your friend to use for a few days, try and see it yourself

Yes, it is the DXLP9 that leaked few days ago.
I'm using the modem of it, however doesn't seem so good with Maxis line.

I know you got it today through Kies, but it is available in XDA few days ago.

If kies instructed her to pull out the cable then probably the update is finished.

Either XXKI3 or XXKI4, good for daily stable use.
I've used LP6 before but forgot the prefix, it gives me very strong signal (green) almost all the time, but battery life is hectic.

From the start they said they will wait for Jkay, but is Jkay release already?

I can see that they are raising fund for S3, I think they might want to move to S3 and say bye bye to S2 already, so now they *might* simply build a ROM to satisfy the masses.

Touchwiz can't resize some widgets, use either Apex and Nova, they can resize any widget.

Try both and use the one you like.
Apex has more functionality in free version compared to Nova.
