QUOTE(aiman39 @ Apr 24 2012, 04:59 PM) Dont worry, mine have fell down several time and more than 30cm, and nothing happen to the screen. Plus mine goes naked. The other day, mine drop from pant's pocket while sitting down..facedown...PAP!!!! Such a loud sound, so scary. Luckily nothing happened...it has a casing, but the casing open liao when it drop face down..maybe the casing still holding it in place and the sound was made from the edge of the casing hitting the floor instead of the screen.....

QUOTE(mtxx @ Apr 30 2012, 11:12 AM) I agree. S2 is a great phone, if got RM 2k, instead of getting a S3, recomend get an android tablet. maybe a quad core tablet like transformer prime, or galaxy note10.1 with phone and tablet, its best of both worlds. tablet is like phone, can install the same apps, but the best part is big screen, EXCELLENT battery life. S3 no matter great, its still a phone, the experience is quite similar. if got a tablet, its a brand new experience entirely. having a phone + tablet combo is really a good experience. just my opnion :-) S2 is actually the perfect phone...if it doesn't hangs so frequently. I wonder if HTC new One-X and One-V hangs as often...any user who has tried both can give comments? IMO, tablet is different story and usage...my wife use it for some presentation purpose (GTab 7.7), surely better than the phone coz larger screen. But in essence both are the same functions. A smartphone can carry in your pocket everywhere, gtab 7.7 is portable enuff to store in ladies handbag...for me, i still don't like to carry a tab....unless i carry a man-bag...just leceh...maybe i am just to lazy...LOL.

QUOTE(mtxx @ Apr 30 2012, 12:04 PM) phone of cos bring around everywhere. tab place is meant to be at home, use at night after work. :-) S2 hang all the time? yours G version? the non G one doesnt hang. What non-G doesn't hang...same also...don't kid yourself. Both version has it's own set of problems. G solves some heat problem but compromise a little performance. But when it comes to hanging...it's a Samsung .... LOL. Just live with it, as long as not too often, then it's ok. btw, i use my S2 for watching movies stream over WIFI from my server..all the TV dramas...tab too bright, whole room becomes bright liao.....disturb wife....S2 is just small enough and light...much better...hands don't get tired holding S2...if holding tab, kennot lar...sometimes i drop the S2 because fall asleep while watching.....if holding tab....BANG!!!!....on my face...haha...and i got my earphones plugged in, so not comfortable if put at side and turn head over... QUOTE(-kytz- @ Apr 30 2012, 09:26 PM) So....firmware for I9100G is a false alarm again lah? Not false alarm...confirmed news. Just that it'll roll out in phases to different countries. I bet the new KIES update has something to do with preparing the i9100g for updates...

QUOTE(destEX @ May 1 2012, 10:44 AM) http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/tech/ar...li-fi-products/new technology yo, transfering photos instantly and a movie in a minute   if its in s3 this would be imba I dunno, but wifi direct is already has incredible speed. I transfer between SGS2 and Galaxy tab using wifi direct...what used to take lots of minutes (quiet long videos) using bluetooth 2.0/3.0, becomes a matter of seconds....technology already here and available...no need to wait. Wifi-N can go up to 300Mbps...but actualy speed, i believe it's sub 100Mbps...but still very good already. This post has been edited by Matrix: May 1 2012, 11:29 AM

QUOTE(mtxx @ May 3 2012, 11:26 AM) lol...sgs3. remeber the nexus prime? eventually it turned out to be a weaker dual core and camera than sgs2, and called galaxy nexus. fail to live up the hype. have a feeling sgs3 might be a normal phone. (similar, but improved features) hard to imagine any NEW stunning features like S pen. maybe water proof? it needs to have something great that makes sgs2 and other current phones look obsolete, else its just another phone. but still, it will sell millions. samsung reputation is too great. almost same status with apple already. go into any shopping mall, all samsung banners. even my grandma have the impression samsung make good phones. Yes, nothing special...HTC already beat it as first quad core phone...so nothing to brag. Slightly better specs with probably uglier design (the round edge looks very likely). IMO, all useless, unless it reduce on the hanging problem (a Samsung favorite) and heat issues. More important than any specs upgrade....if it hangs frequently (like most other Samsung phones)....no point.

QUOTE(madlocke @ May 3 2012, 01:56 PM) first is not always the best.. LG (Optimus 2x) & Motorola (Atrix, i think) are first dual core phones.. but S2 still beat the crap out of them.. Only beat in terms of sales...again...more sales doesn't means always better...look at iFong...LOL.

QUOTE(Kevin_Low @ May 3 2012, 02:07 PM) there are own cons and pros, iOS is simple and easy however limited function & boring. Android can customization and fully freedom however does not smooth as iOS. I really hope in the next android 5.0 can concentrate on fluid and smoothness. I think they need to revamp the whole thing from scratch to do that...read an article before, not that simple....really need to redo the whole OS...i still don't get it why people so hung up about "smoothness" of the UI. You don't need 60fps to press a button. I repeat YOU DON'T NEED 60FPS TO PRESS A BUTTON TO ACTIVATE AN APP!!!! Frankly, i find the iOS too smooth, makes me dizzy, like FPS games....dun rike.

QUOTE(mtxx @ May 4 2012, 08:17 AM) Agree. But its still a more worthy buy for people not using s2. S3 is clearly better choice than HTC 1x. Both also same lar...it's all boils down which one has BETTER QUALITY...as in less problems (hardware and software). The phone which hangs less is the Winner.
