I am using P8Z77M motherboard and I just wondering where is the setting for VCCIO? Is VCCSA related to VCCIO?
As for LinX and Prime95, LinX is what I should use to test the cooling limit and the max temp whereas Prime95 is to be used for Vcore testing.
Correct me if im wrong.

Added on August 26, 2012, 11:19 pmand one more thing, my ram is corsair 8gb 1333mhz kit LP. can i oc it to 1600mhz ? i tried to OC to 1600 mhz before with 4.1Ghz at 1.17v, but get BSOD.any idea?

bro owikh, i manage to pass 20pass under ALL condition for LinX but I get BSOD when i try with Prime95.

4.1Ghz @ 1.25V
VCCSA=+1
VLL=Auto

aiks,forgot to take a snapshort of it.will try to run it later and take the screenshot. so is there anything i can do? run with prime95 BSOD but not LinX. I thought LinX is more stressful than Prime95.

thanks bro. i up my Vcore to 1.13v for 4.1ghz with 1333mhz ram speed. Doing fine with prime95 for about 2 hours and still running. perhaps i can still test my ram stability using memtest.

yeah.n i have loads of patience. now im finding the lowest voltage for 4.1 as i have already obtained the lowest votlage for 4.0. trying to plot a graph for all the readings...
by the way, my chip is made from Msia. how good is it? any chance of hitting 4.8 using noctua? is using the default noctua TIM is enough to do the cooling?

I run prime95.. Then i "ter" tidur.... Then i wake up the prime95 was gone.... And then i check.. It restart...

But is it possible to get insufficient vcore for stock speed? I didnt do anything yet at the oc tweaker....

I have read somewhere on the forum that the Vcore for stock speed is insufficient for certain chips. Perhaps bad apple. The user are requires to put a few notch on the Vcore and it goes stable. I will try to find the source for your reference.

one more thing that i would like to ask, is it necessary for us to update our BIOS? my BIOS version is outdated and I afraid after I update, it will not stable for overclocking.

I think your 2666 kit with 1400 is not on the list yet.
0340 for Ripjaws is hynix and for TridentX is Samsung,so maybe this can be noted as well.
2400 & 0260 for TridentX still unknown.

anyway,do any of u have idea how far my RAM can oc? using vengeance LP 1333mhz CL9. if i want to upgrade from that ram, which speed should i opt for?

try 9-11-10 and up mhz, drop cpu multiplier not to exceed ur stable cpu clock
if cannot get far, up 1.5vdimm
