Good attempt. But that doesn't seem to really stable without the latest Prime95 27.7 + win7 SP1 so expecting random BSOD on other tasks.

i bet if he put it for sale 1k usd sure someone will grab it in 0.005 second biggrin.gif
anyway curious how is its IMC? I saw he do an abnormal RAM timing of 10-10-12 rclxub.gif

According to CUDO this kit you must order online from Corsair store.
No choice will have to use US forwarding service since they don't ship to Msia sad.gif

other RAM kits looks interesting as well...
TeamGroup Xtreem LV 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-21300C10 2666MHz Dual Channel Kit (TXD38192M2666HC10QDC-L)

Avexir Core Series 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-21000C11 2666MHz Quad Channel Kit (AVD3U26661104G-4CI)

TeamGroup Xtreem LV 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-22400C11 2800MHz Dual Channel Kit (TXD38192M2800HC11RDC-L) - pre-order

but then again, OCUK doesn't ship to Msia also sweat.gif

THIS guy had his CPU die scratched & died. My advice is to be very careful when using knife or razor blade sp that you dont accidentally cut the die & know the location & size of the die. Once overshoot then gg already. Ones must have balls to do this job. Good luck on deliding.

Your CPU PLL only 1.25V? That's quite low considering stock/default is 1.85V sweat.gif

It's nice that ASUS mobo has "auto" setting for those secondary RAM timings, my Intel board does not mad.gif
*

Yeah lowering CPU PLL will shave off some degree Celsius. Default is 1.8v. Not like it will die if too high or too low.

Done some tweaking last night, 4.5Ghz @ 1.26v. Manage to get it stable running LinX for 25 runs. Stress test in an air-condition room. Highest temperature @ 93c. Forgot to take screenshot just before the test stop. doh.gif
Also manage to get it boot @ 4.6Ghz(1.3v) & 4.7Ghz(1.36v) but when running Linx for like 2 run, the temperature almost hitting TJMax. So i stop before i risk damaging my processor. sweat.gif

Just realise when you pointed it out. laugh.gif I dont know what happen with the gflops there, maybe that has something to do with my ram? hmm.gif During this test, i put my ram @ 1600Mhz & default timing (11-11-11-??).

Now i ran @ 2000Mhz (11-12-12-29), 1.65v. Not really good timing there. sweat.gif 1.7v++ needed if i want to go 2133++ or lower timing. But i kept it under 1.7v just to be safe. It seems i can oc ram much better with this mobo compare to my old 1 (Z77A-G43). Gflops now @ 112. smile.gif

1) newegg doesn't accept CC registered with MY address, can't even use Borderlinx service
2) local US forwarding service including newegg MY always slow on responding before it's been grabbed by someone else
3) I don't have any friend in the US
4) my current CPU has a bad IMC, not doing 2800 lol

anyone know what is the max speed that i can overclock my 3820 proccessor with rampage 4 extreme mobo?

There is a separate topic for SB-E discussion: Sandy Bridge-E Overclocking & Tweaking
Nevertheless, depends on your cooling & chip the 3820 should be able to clock 4.5GHz on air & up to 4.8-5.0GHz under water.

I looked back your LinX run a few pages back. Your GFlops is lower than 100 so I suggested you to increase vCore but since you said you are approaching cooling limit so might consider set lower clock.

Normally newegg put one kit for sale only then restocking next month. QUOTE(codenamew @ Aug 26 2012, 08:43 PM)
Just wondering, y use ibt or linx? I'm using prime95. Any diff when using prime compare to those? Now I'm trying to run 4.0@ 1.095v n it seems to be stable. But when oc ram to 1600, I get bsod. The code that I get is about increasing qpi/vtt but the voltage is not found in my bios. What should I do?
*
VTT = VCCIO which is related to DRAM & IMC.
My recent run of prime95 needed 0.064v more vCore to pass 4 hours of blend test, as compared to LinX.
But the heat produced by LinX @ 1.416v is almost identical to prime95 @ 1.48v.
It seems that LinX is good for testing cooling limit whereas prime95 is suitable for vCore testing.
btw, when i said prime95 i was referring to custom blend test min FFT 128k, which stresses both CPU & IMC.
The rest prime options are just for partial stability test, mostly CPU only.
