You have TEC which moves heat away at an exceptional fast rate, so the improvements a good TIM like CLU can bring for you is definitely significant. Me... Air cooling with a lowly Hyper 212 EVO, maybe 5 degrees at most tongue.gif
*
I'm not using TEC, it's been sent to manufacturer for upgrade. So those results were performed under normal custom wc kit powered by 2x 360 rads + 12x GT AP15 1850rpm.

the Quad is found broken on one of the peltier plates so no choice have to send it back also.
and the creator is willing to upgrade it for me at zero cost. biggrin.gif

Hmm... I wonder if H100 will do for 5GHz. Customs are a little too costly for me (although I did consider them once before tongue.gif ), and H100 is way easier to install laugh.gif
*
No, 5GHz is not possible on H100, cannot even run on my custom wc. Must get at least a chip like mine and must remove the IHS & replace the TIM.

I havent buy 680 Lightning yet still collecting $$ lol
For sure i will put it under water & OC to the hell out of it. smile.gif lingloong has ready stock, RM1999 sad.gif

Do you know you can buy from newegg? Order through Newegg Malaysia. Not sure if its cheaper or not but if no stock here elsewhere can buy from them. Recently 9% of VAT exempted for Malaysian buyers  drool.gif . The only downside is u have to wait a few weeks bcoz they need to have enuf orders before proceeding. Just sharing  biggrin.gif

Better buy rasa rs240 water cooling kit than H100. Price almost the same but wc performs better. Base on some reviews, NH-D14 performs better than H100.
*
I second that...

According to THIS review,
Noctua NH-C14 beats H100 by 1C
but Noctua NH-D14 lost to H100 by 1C
They perform very close to each other so get either one that suit your case & hardware placements.

But still, RASA RS240 beats those out of craps + upgradability. biggrin.gif

ZaiNor-DI255,

try this BIOS F6.
Should be some compability improvements and MEI FW updated.

owi,
nice to see Vcore bellow 1.44  biggrin.gif
(gold one is bellow 1.36 and DDR3 1500+)
*

Thanks bro. yeah it's hard to find a 3770K which can stable under 1.5v.
It is like a golden chip for me. I've seen many does 5GHz @ 1.3v but having bad IMC
5.0GHz @ 1.3xv and RAM 3000+ is a god-sent platinum chip. drool.gif

^Just order this week,my new 2x4GB G.Skill 2600 kit form newegg (M),as they closing batch#2.
Supose to come this month.
*
TridentX 2600C10 is supposed to be based on Samsung ICs so a much better choice than my 2666C11 sad.gif
Hynix = craps
Samsung = FTW due to 2800+ easy & scales better on volts

Nothing can be done on the vcore.
Thats how are your chip could do.
Your GFlops is lower than 100, suspect vcore is not enough.

Rasa kit Rs240 can make nice loop between the mb block + cpu? Coz now funding for maximus v formula .
*
RASA kit is like any other custom wc, so can do CPU-mb loop w/o much issue.

Hi guys, i wonder why my 3570k really2 hot. Currently test it @ 4.5Ghz, 1.29v. Highest temperature @ 100c & increasing, using both CoreTemp & RealTemp. sweat.gif Cooled with NH-D14. Fan is set to highest, mobo ASRock Z77 Extreme 4. Stress test it using LinX 0.6.4. Is my cooler not good or my proc is just bad ? sad.gif
*

The temps u got sounds legit since my old 3570K hit 90C under water in ambient ~34C
4.5GHz @ 1.3v, it was a bad chip. There's nothing you could do until you got a better chip or remove the IHS biggrin.gif

But last time when i was using Hyper 212 Evo, even @ 4.4Ghz, my temp didnt even hit 95c. But after using NH-D14, even wit the same frequency & voltage, it's hitting 95c. There's must be something wrong. Going to buy new thermal paste later but now most shop still closed since its hari raya week. sad.gif
*

I highly doubt that Noctua will perform worse than Hyper212.
Remount and re-appy TIM might help.
Also, cannot compare old LinX/prime95 with the latest version packed with AVX instruction which is more stressful + win7 SP1.
Besides that, different LLC level also will contribute to the difference (load vCore different).

I don't have the guts to remove the IHS. laugh.gif Hmm. either sell this proc and get 3770k or stuck @ 4.4Ghz... I spend about RM600++ buying new mobo and cooler just to be disappointed wit my chip. sad.gif
Anyway i will try buy a new thermal paste 1st, see if it helps or not. But i doubt it will decrease the temp more than 3c.
*
I don't think changing TIM will help much on reducing temps. Efficiency of heat dissipation has been lost underneath the IHS. smile.gif

But if you wanted to try new TIM, Coolaboratory Liquid Ultra from niclasteoh is a way to go, and please share with us what's the result.

Wanna try OCing RAM to at least 2133MHz but my G.Skills are kinda limited.

It is not available locally, unfortunately.
This kit can do 2400+ easily, at very cheap price.
BHPhoto is selling it HERE, if you're willing to pay for Fedex fee & ETA ~5 days.
