Hi guys, i wonder why my 3570k really2 hot. Currently test it @ 4.5Ghz, 1.29v. Highest temperature @ 100c & increasing, using both CoreTemp & RealTemp.

Cooled with NH-D14. Fan is set to highest, mobo ASRock Z77 Extreme 4. Stress test it using LinX 0.6.4. Is my cooler not good or my proc is just bad ?

The temps u got sounds legit since my old 3570K hit 90C under water in ambient ~34C
4.5GHz @ 1.3v, it was a bad chip. There's nothing you could do until you got a better chip or remove the IHS

But last time when i was using Hyper 212 Evo, even @ 4.4Ghz, my temp didnt even hit 95c. But after using NH-D14, even wit the same frequency & voltage, it's hitting 95c. There's must be something wrong. Going to buy new thermal paste later but now most shop still closed since its hari raya week.

I highly doubt that Noctua will perform worse than Hyper212.
Remount and re-appy TIM might help.
Also, cannot compare old LinX/prime95 with the latest version packed with AVX instruction which is more stressful + win7 SP1.
Besides that, different LLC level also will contribute to the difference (load vCore different).
