Why? It's a standard safety feature in all modern auto cars.

IINM juz need 2press button at gear knob to move to R b4 proceeding to D.

Pressing the brake wld juz prevent car fr jerking backwards in R & then forwards in D.
More of for safety.
Can others pls confirm? TQ.

Those cars with push-start button also need to press brake to start car, if you forget then you lagi panic

Last time I got this cheapo blindspot mirror, those round ones that you stick on your side mirrors, also kena stolen

Pg 59 of FL User Manual states:

"Operation:
1. Before selecting a gear with the engine running and the vehicle stationary, fully depress the brake pedal to prevent the vehicle from creeping. "

That's it...the reason to press the brakes.
No mention that w/o pressing the brake, R or D kenot be engaged...
Pressing the knob on top of the gearshift enables the shift.

Pls correct me if abv is wrong.
