For one, drop in vacuum high could be due2 point of tapping the engine vac...
Chk & see if can find another more direct tapping point ie if possible w/o sharing with other use of car vac.
Hope yu kno wat me trying to say here... tongue.gif

1 - 2L engine?
Means compressor as fitted is suitable for use by engines from as low as 1L and up to as high as 2L ie it'll provide sufficient cooling power when used by such capacity engines.
But then, of course, the load on those engines nearer the bottom 1L range, wld be much higher than the load on the 2L engines...
Namely a less powerful engine (1L) turning/working a compressor suitable also for a 2L engine....

From what I understand, an ACTUAL motor vacuum should read nearest to the intake valve inlet. If old Mits 4G series of intake manifold all came with a vacuum port nearest to the end of the intake manifold. Reason being, this is the most accurate vacuum reading, after discount of air-con controller/2nd throttle(carburator)/fuel regulator/head lights/power steering... etc...etc. And therefore, the vacuum reading is the summarized detail of the entire engine's health condition.

However, the current condition is, CAMPUR engine doesn't have any vacuum port at the IAFM manifold that is suitable for gauges(besides of brake booster's vacuum supply) sweat.gif The nearest perfect installation for my extra vacuum hose is the fuel regulator as per introduction by Ah Wai from Yau Yip. Thanks again to Ah Wai rclxms.gif Also thanks to Wuakaka showing me how to pull the vacuum hose to the cockpit. Figured the aquarium hose wouldn't fit the high heat and heavy suction after seeing Wuakaka's yellowing and penyet hose, I've decided to go for silicone hose. Black color geh, you wouldn't know I pull it from there geh. Looks like original. Wuakakakakakakkakakakakkaka laugh.gif

Seriously, I have not much knowledge on the air-con stuff. Regardless, my all other project has been put on hold to give priority to the bloody air-con compressor now! mad.gif Get rid of this, horse power up, petrol save. Other f*cking thing can do slow²

Reminds me of the cerita dongeng:

6000rpm at N, engage D with full throttle, wheel spin 5 wonderful seconds with loads of smoke, then "take off" laugh.gif

Don't think it work with CVT thouh brows.gif logically it will create clutch spin or CVT belt spin. Worse case snap belt ph34r.gif

This also reminds me of NISSAN GTR R35 warranty does not cover gear box wreck under SPORT LAUNCH MODE ph34r.gif ph34r.gif

Now yu decide... tongue.gif

Dude, I think you got the idea wrong. If induction more garang, the human inside also more garang, as a result the car become faster laugh.gif

Anyway, the DYNO test is not ENTIRE truth. Enough of all that bull crap. Fact now, original filter VS hi-flow filter as of what I read from vacuum meter:
1) Original paper filter was meant to CONTROL NOISE POLUTION, therefore you hear nothing from original air filter
2) Low restriction air filter will result in LOSS POWER at 2 end, low end and top end(without adjusting ECU understanding)
3) People claim to have their racing filter installed, they have more power INDEED A MYTH, because they actually push in MORE AIR compare to fuel, as a result BAD AIR FUEL RATIO
4) Without adjusting ECU setup, simply replace a racing filter, if you drive your car below 10in/hg, you actually save petrol because your motor is running LEAN compare to stock paper filter
5) Without adjusting ECU setup, replacement of racing filter will result in loss top end because too much air being intake, mixture of petrol become too lean & superficial burning condition, whilst creating high heat result in power loss(use the correct reading spark plug, colder for high compression variable valve timing engine, and hotter for force induction engine)
6) To have full action/benefit from racing filter, combination of ECU tuning is utmost important. A simple example for layman understanding, and we also did science experiment back in high school.
a)When you feed oxigen to a joss stick, it will quickly lite up the stick and that's it. No more further action.
b) When you feed oxigen to a joss stick, it will quickly lite up the stick, then you push in the joss stick further, you lite up the entire science lab!!!

To conclude, to have full use of the racing filter(more air induction), your computer will have to instruct the fuel injector to spray more juice in order to get more action. Simply put in an air filter and hoping for power up, that's non-sense. However, if you're stuffing in a racing filter to listen to the great induction "music", enjoy the lighter fuel accelator meanwhile saving petrol is not at all an bad idea for racing filter. Hope this help. icon_rolleyes.gif

p/s: By the way, MCM is sponsored by insurance company. Do you think insurance company will encourage people to mod their car for more accident? So they get a claim? hmm.gif

Isn't that what the O2 sensor is for? to tell the ECU to feed more fuel when there it is running lean?
*
Not too sure, but according to SiuYi previous answer, this thing is running on MAP sensors, therefore more air will not give you more fuel. But if your filter is dirty, less air it will give less fuel so you loss power whilst wouldn't create much black smoke from exhaust pipe, reduce the chance to baking carbon in your engine laugh.gif I believe the current engine setup is made for environmental friendly instead of performance. Correct me if I'm wrong. notworthy.gif

p/s: I'm the 1 who can't live without performance filter, so may be I'm bias flex.gif

That is NOT ALWAYS the case. As I mentioned in my previous post, you have more chance to sagat if load up your trunk + backseat with 55 series tyre. If the rim is FLX SE type + 50 series tyre sure no problem geh.

If your car is FLX, spring is harder than FL/BLM, 50 series tyre will be bumpier. So, its a give & take. I'm a happy user of 55 tyres, although if my in laws at my backseat, I'll have to drive very carefully to avoid sagat.

Side note: after stuck in 55 series 15 inch tyre, car become taller blink.gif mileage dropped about 10%+/- sad.gif also experiene wobbly feet, pickup become weak and slow. However, to consider the oversized wheel, I think the mileage was affected by the error calculation instead, as I figured I used to travel to work takes 14.1km, now is only 12.5 blink.gif so, don't complain, try to enjoy it.

Dude, Saliverstones Cynergy N3 indeed literally no traction at all during rainny days. I was doing 100kmh at NS way from KKB to Sg Buloh with whole family in the car, the car is floating all the way back. You may hold your steering straight, but the rain will wash your ride away. You will feel like the car is drifting at straight road. 2 days later, immediately bought my tyre laugh.gif didn't know 55 can sagat oso doh.gif anyway, its all good now :thumb: definitely more confident! Many times I heard, PROTON stands for Powerwindow Rosak Oh Tidak Oh No, I almost not disbelieve it
I own an ISWARA for many years, also own some old PROTON KNIGHT and also OLD SAGA ORION, and I always complain about everything of that car
As long as it's a PROTON, I hated it much. Even a WIRA 1.6XLi, literally an imported Mits MIRAGE 5 with a PROTON badge, I will still complain
Seeing the lion head on the car, its like a cancer cell being implanted into the car, anytime something bad is going to happen

When I see another BLM under the rainbow arch, then he sped away and disappeared over the skyline, all the bad things happened in PROTON is forgiven laugh.gif Love my BLM.

Sorry, most of us are working adults, some are part time students with a job. Day time is almost impossible for us to meetup. Moreover I myself have family to feed, so the only available hour will be night time. Even during weekend, bini bising mad.gif Family always comes 1st. Some of the members went dating, so its even worst to arrange meetup during weekend. Therefore, if you are worried, you may bring along your hubby/boyfriend/father/brother along for the peace of mind. It's fine to drop by and say hi. We'll take a look at your ride and see whether anyone of us able to provide you feedback.

Pls dun bring your dad, nanti he chat with david about their good old times until dowan to go home. U know la, same generation tongue.gif

Tibai! I'm not that old la wei doh.gif I believe there is nothing can we do about new car smell. However, if It has anything to do with physical malfunction, there is nothing much we can do about it even if we gets a hydraulic jack.

sign0006.gif Ok, here is a slightly off topic regarding my test drive experience

Last Saturday, I was browsing around Kepong Jaya Jusco, so happen saw a bunch of uncles, aunties climbing up and down, pulling stuff and trying to dismantle a Plotong Pervert show car. The SA also didn't bother to explain as everybody trying to tear the car apart, everybody also pretend like going to buy. I was the 1 who standing around the corner checking out what are the significant in this new model. The SA saw me standing around the corner, immediately he walk forward and pass me a flyer and price list, he must thought I'm sooooo different with other uncle. Before he able to start selling, I ask where & when can I test drive. Immediately I've got an appointment on Monday 9am sharp. icon_idea.gif

When I passed by the show room by 8:30am, the car still not yet arrive, off I went for nasi lemak breakfast. I came back 9:00am sharp, the SA already standing outside with a brand new Plotong Perve. Immediately I pass my IC & License, before he let me sign the letter of indemnity, I already hit the push start button flex.gif So, below is my personal opinion and 1st impression with a brand new Plotong Perve

It's damn hi-tech machine indeed, however I think the design that mimic a LANCER dashboard is a total unnecessarily. As I step on the gas pedal, the weird kind of feeling STILL EXIST in the drive by wire technology, not as claimed by the official review from many car magazines/websites. It felt more like a NUT bolted drive by wire, like Kenjilew's ride kinda feeling. Overall, before 3krpm the car is SERIOUSLY under powered. I spent a few minutes driving the car out and hit the main road. As the light turned green, I went full throttle in SPORTS mode. It felt like turbo kicked in around 3krpm, the push feeling of high torque is there. Overall acceleration is quite reasonable for a 1.6litre car. I think it can get close to a old EK4 CIVIC D16A VTEC. Handling wise, I think the car is quite heavy, it actually give the actual comforting feeling when speeding up. Suspension is quite stiff in my opinion, whereas power steering give a proper feedback, and not forget the braking power is very efficient/sufficient. After many years training in NON ABS environment, I have bad habits of jerking my brake pedals, therefore ABS car really doesn't make me feel the difference, and the Perve did makes my right foot hit it once and brake the damn thing in time. To conclude, if I had the budget for CITY/VIOS, I'd rather save the difference to buy a Plotong Perve, mainly because of 4 air bags, super duper huge storage trunk, bloody hi-tech push start button, CVT gear box, and the crazy turbo kick in back sticking feeling. Last but not least, even if you totaled the damn car, you actually sell besi buruk for more KGs compare to a VIOS/CITY. 1 thing the SA couldn't explain to me, why in the hell GAGA FLX no longer provide the dust collecting engine cover, now all of a sudden it came back to the new Perve?

After the testing, I got down the vehicle... no registration number, no roadtax.... shakehead.gif I looked at the SA, he looked back at me sweat.gif then he said..." Ya... I was going to tell you we haven't get the registration yet..." rclxub.gif

Since already here, might as well spend sometime to play with the FLX SE. Got the key, start the engine, and slam on the accelerator!!! Since I'm already a GAGA BLM owner, I know the setup of GAGA pretty well. The 1st corner hit the mainroad is a hand brake drift at 50kmh laugh.gif then full throttle out from 20~100kmh. It feels like less than 5 seconds. Cutting through the traffic, waiving in and out, very agile and sensitive, easy to control. After send the car back, the SA almost did not faint. He was asking, who send me to test their car... doh.gif

QUOTE(huzaifa136 @ Apr 30 2012, 12:05 PM)
so how 1.6 flx se compared to 1.3 flx and preve? which is the best of the three cars without considering the price and gadget?
u nvr drive that hard? WOT?
*
Dude, really can't compare with all that 3. I have never tried(test drive) an FLX 1.3 before, u wanna let me try yours? brows.gif

Anyway, driving a CVT is my 1st experience in Perve & FLX. In fact driving a CVT like a numb nut is also my 1st time. Besides, driving MT so many years, CVT is a luxury item for me. So, I guess if u ask me to give. Price to price feedback will be more proper.

Perve: if ur salary can afford, why not? If buy, make sure get a CFE version, otherwise might as well back to Persoga, pay less to get the same thing. According to dares, turbo kick in 2krpm, but I suspect full charge is happening at about 3krpm. If u r performance thirsty, this is not for you. The turbo is just nice for slight torque improvement for comfort/leisure driving.

FLX SE: leather finishing with red stitches! CVT gear box! 110+hp! Almost half the price of a Pergana back then! If can't afford the Perve, why not FLX SE!

FLX CVT: Huzaifa drove me in his car! Seriously, it felt like a very powerful 1.6 engine. I couldn't tell the difference with FLX SE. I guess the 1 inch wheel size different offdset the extra power of the FLX SE. If not for the bodykit, 1 inch extra wheel, smoked tail lamp, extra 300cc, leather finishing, I don't see the need for SE.

FLX manual... Only 3k difference with CVT, if u choose to save that 3k and snap your left foot in KL Traffic...I've got nothing much to say

FLX CVT is definitely a best buy in my opinion. If given 73k in hand, I'd buy an FLX CVT.

Tonight come to TT, I'll show you why DBW installed in our cars.for now, I can only tell you DBW is specially designed for CVT. A car with DBW without CVT is simply incomplete, in fact CACAT. Unable to explain here, can only show you when I'm driving.

P/s: dares, I don't drive friends car like a moron. I'm a gentlemen, unless the car is meant for trashing(ie.showroom test drive car).
