UPDATE Re Soundproofing of Sagas...
General consensus in most forums/by DIY enthusiasts is that in order 2b effective : a. A min of 2 layers are needed, namely 1 layer of dampening marerial eg dynamat/vibramat/similar mayb bitumen-based material esp on doors, coupled with sound absorbing barriers eg insuflex. b. doors, floors, firewall & boot areas are the minimum areas 2b treated. c. proper tools eg a roller needed to do a good job to ensure proper adhesion to surfaces treated. Note: A lot of stripping & removal of car parts eg carpets, plastic covers, seats, etc need 2b carried out b4 proceeding with DIY soundproofing! A very daunting tedious task! Not 4getting hving 2put all if them back together again!!! Total expenses = RM700 - RM1k (DIY) Above only REDUCES only arnd 50% of noises ie mainly those caused by vibrations in car! Worth it? Or juz live with the noise? YOU tell us... This post has been edited by zeone: May 12 2012, 11:41 AM |

QUOTE(dares @ May 12 2012, 11:43 AM) a.) go perodua showroom. Test drive a viva. Gaga does not have auto room light after disarm alarm. This feature is made for general safety when driver able to observe the cockpit to ensure no bad guy hiding inside the car. BiBA came with this feature from 660-Elite edition.b.) come home and appreciate the calmness of your gaga. Total expenses = zero. Gaga does not have 1 flick high beam. This is for the convenience to alert opposite direction vehicle continuosly during certain event, such as slippery road ahead/major pile up ahead/ fuzz speedtraps ahead...etc Gaga does not have 1 flick wiper. When drizzling, sometimes u feel even 1xspeed wiper is too fast/short interval. 1 time activate is a very convenient feature. Gaga does not have DVVT. Variable valve timing meaning the entire rocker will lift up the valve timing at higher RPM.Longer intake time+earlier exhaust to squeeze the last drop of horse power form the system. On behalf of BiBA owners. However, Gaga saved ERIC life, twice. Sound proof? Good to have, for a 40k car, what do you expect. |
