This thread smells like Engadget, needs to clean up -.-...

blame samsung and apple marketing strategy. they like to act secretive and maintain "high confidential" before launching, but keep leaking news regarding the flagship. then many ppl put high expectation. some i heard got 1080p, 2 gb ram, 23nm quad core..........

in the end the product is not that high end after all, so the dream of future buyer shattered, then blame the manufacturer.

It is not ugly. Just that some users think Samsung didn't do a better job coming with a better design. Those who said it is ugly needs to have their eyes check. I won't say is outstandingly beautiful or grand but definitely ugly is wrong word
And most of those bashing it are sadly from HTC camp. I am also quite disappointed that Samsung did not come up with a better looking phone but as I said earlier on, design is not the most important criteria for me
Can some one tell me how "ugly" is the S III vs the HTC one X ?

Comments on it when you see and feel the phone yourself - if you think it sucks, just don't buy it. Buy others that pleases you. I only make comments when I physically purchased the phone and to hell with whatever other people say or web reviewers said. If it satisfy me, good ; if it doesn't I will just quickly sell it off

that's why ive been waiting for samsungs' phones,
bcos of the developer supports,
a little dissapointed with the design..S2 and Gnex designs pawn S3 anytime for me,
S3 looks cheap for my 1st impression,
have to wait for the hands on only will decide whether to upgrade my S2 or not,
or wait till end of year after samsung have announced all of their phones only will change phone

like that you will never get a phone cos since end of the year you would rather wait some more for the next years new line up... lol...

I prefer the plastic of HOX... matte and no finger print.. Scratch well.. would be less visible compare to SGS3...

there's a pro's n con's.. official support, everything on their company to release the new update or not. but for those in developer support, they try to get latest updates for your phone to be compatible with. such as htc desire.. official support, yeah it stuck on froyo rom. no updates after that... but if u go custom..u can still get a taste of gingerbread on that phone.

Guys, wait for the drop test video. i believe it will come very soon. By then you only judge how good is the build material.

since S1,S2 they keep saying its cheap cheap plastic cheap, but still both of it is a kick ass phone.
instead of saying samsung need to learn, why dont u get that is what their strategy... there is reason for it. i think because it is lighter

And now we have users now "praising" SGS II plasticky is better when they have not even see/touch this SGS III. Some times I wonder where they get this feeling ?? Just throwing rubbish comments without any basis
Samsung is never well known for its design - for that try Sony Ericsson follow by HTC
