You do 1000000x sit up and crunches for 20 years also wont help you reduce belly fat.
Watch your diet and do HIIT/weight training/cardio

Go read the weight loss thread also. You cant spot reduction.

I downloaded Myfitness app yesterday. It showed that i need to consume 1200 calories daily. I only eat 2 meals yesterday and add up around 650 calories.

Now, should i eat more to reach 1200 calories? or i maintain 2 or 3 meals a day which add up would be less than 1000 calories.

1200 kcal? Are you sure about that? The bolded part says daily. Whatever way you eat,you need to consume 1200 daily. Simple as that right?

it means ur food consumption shud b average at 1200 cal. 200-300 for morning. 4xx for lunch 4xx for dinner n d rest for misc.

IMHO, it may, OR may not.

if u reduce tremendously food intake, it will trigger ur body to lower metabolism rate bcoz d brain tells d body u r starving. lower body heat n etc... so, its back to square 1 although u reduce cal intake. unless u r talkin ab huge reduction of food intake...

When our body sense that there's lack of food consumption, it will assume that you are starving enter the hibernation mode in which the body will try as hard to hold as much as bodyfat. When this happens, you'll hardly loses any weight. (also called metabolic damage by Dr. Layne Norton).

your BMI is ~27.27
your BMR is ~1397.1
your TDEE is ~ 1921

As you dont have so much weight to lose, i would eat at BMR or slightly above. Please also note that you should eat back your exercise calories if calculated accurately. if using MFP to calculate, eat back half of those exercise calories.

edit: MFP sometimes does really low calorie because you set to lose the weight in the shortest amount of time. like 1 kg per week or something like that. and 1200 is the minimum the site recommends.

Thanks. so i should eat around 1400 calories. I eat 3 meals a day with 4-5 hours gab in between without snacks. wink.gif

Normal meal with rice and meat.

Anythings for me to improve? smile.gif

thats pretty good. the times you eat at is not so important as long as you get your calories in for the day. sometimes i will reduce all calories and eat a bigger dinner. add some fruits into your diet. and try to change up between rice and other carbs. like some multigrain or wholegrain breads and such. make sure the steps you are taking to lose weight are manageable and long term. if you are suffering through it, it wont last. good luck. and also dont beat yourself up on days which you slip up and eat more than your calories. enjoy life at the same time. icon_rolleyes.gif

edit: are you at the gym using the treadmill? if so, i think you should look into lifting weights as well. girls dont bulk easily, so dont worry there. your weight wont go down so much but you will lose more fat and you will slim down. heres some reading:

yes, you need track you calories. it is quite difficult but from the way you eating. i believe not hard to count the calories.
what is you TDEE i may ask? Track your calories pls.

if want, u can skip you mid mor and lunch snack.
by the way, how often you have your cheat meal? do you know if you keep continues the deficit, the body will slowly adjusted to the deficit?

Figuring out how to lose weight is a challenge for many of us, particularly considering that the quickest path to weight loss is different for everyone.
