In US, it's more about awareness and they don't believe much in slimming. Even JLo has a PT with her at all times plus a nutritionist

If short cuts work, you think they don't have the mean to pay or get endorsement fees

Only ASIANs buy the idea so much, package after package.. Yet they will tell you can't eat Roti Canai.. I eat all rubbishes.. Our slimming centers are much of a blood sucker. Sorry if any slimming center's promoters/owners read this.
Herbalife? Yes it works! It's a public listed co in US.. It's more a crash diet. We had made a study, in depth of it.. they emphasize more in micro, that makes skin more radiant, ladies are happy! With the crash formula, surely waist size with be down, ladies happy with 1 or 2 size smaller.. But once they leave the product, and back to their own happy go jolly mode.. They will get double the size

Think why they launched their Protein...
Not many of the gyms are profitable, they can't afford to go for TV ads.. If not, TF will not have sold their stake after a few years in operation in Malaysia. They have to chase "future" monies to sustain their present overheads
I totally agree that Slimming Centres suck your money dry. Another friend told me she signed a package with Marie France for RM3,000+ which would lasts her about 3 months treatment. Sigh... can buy 1 year gym membership with that money.
The only good thing about slimming centres is that they have a nutritionist - who will tell and teach the customers about food and calories. A lot of people don't realize how much calories they put into their body. Roti canai can eat... but not everyday, especially not a smart choice if the person does not work out.
I don't believe in "don't eat this, don't eat that" but it's more of being aware of what you eat/ plan to eat and choose wisely without restraining yourself (or suppressing craving). Recently a friend of mine just asked me to take appetite suppressant (that he is selling via MLM) when the topic of diet came up. When i said it's not good to take something like that, he told me that "yeah my wife also plan to stop taking."

honestly, don't recommend things that you (or your wife) would not take. What a FRIEND.
That's the trick with Herbalife. You need to continue consuming it if you want to 'look great' and when you stop, it collapses. That's how they make money... because you can't stop taking it. I totally hate it when people try to sell me products. It's all about money for them, not the wellbeing of others.
Hmmm gyms seem profitable enough in a way. I guess the rent, maintenance and overhead cost is very high for them to breakeven. I see a lot of people signing up daily and business seems so well they don't even need to advertise lol
