I go to the gym 6 days per week, do diff body part on each day.

Currently 89kg, loss 15kg from 104kg in Dec 2012.

Wow..you do have determination. Here's my 2 cents rolling out of my gap. You might want to re-evaluate it being counterproductive. Not sure if your muscles have time to mend and heal.
Anyways, i would say if it works for you then keep it up.
Wish i had your time and discipline smile.gif

Normally how long does it take to 'mend and heal'? I understand it varies for each person but generally speaking...?

From my limited knowledge, I'd say there is no definitive answer on recovery duration. Of course ppl like it to be as fast as possible hence diet, supplements come into play.
Go read one of the stickies DL posted on recovery diet and you'll see what i mean.
After lifting, get on to recovery as quickly as possible and that's from resting and proper diet and supplements if you're into that. Based on my puny experience, a good diet gives me a recovery within 2-3 days.
How can i tell?
After said duration, i hit the similar muscle group i worked on prior to recovery, and usually find that i am able to lift the same reps/sets with higher intensity. To me that meant my muscles have made +ve recovery. smile.gif

end of the day isn't recovery what BB is all about? Lift, micro tear, eat, grow, repeat.
