3. Usage: Office Job non programming/Game (AION)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: looking for 1920*1080

5. SSD or not? I dont need much space but i need the speed. my desktop 1tb got a lot of space (why me buying that 1tb rclxub.gif )
6. Heavy? hope not so heavy. I'm a guy biggrin.gif
7. Heat problem? Some people said they cant type/play with their laptop for a long duration bcoz of heat issues.

1/2/3/4 -Anything with SSD, and 1080p screen, you are looking at 4k++ range already. Budget tak cukup.

5 - After market SSD modification cheaper, if you got the time.

6 - Err, 1080p laptop all around upper 2kg~4kg, small matter 4 you tongue.gif

7 - Use cooler and dont block the vents. Make sure the internals are clean.

8 - High powered laptops, sure drain battery. Expect no battery if you are using the gaming series laptop.

9 - 17 inch or more with SSD and 1080p screen will cost you more than budget XD

10 - Sager/AW ftw

11 - Free Dos - Sager is the only 1 offering so.

The rest comes with OS.

Hi all,
Need your recommendation
1. Preferred Brand : Dell, Asus, Toshiba
2. Budget : ~RM4000
3. Usage : Surfing, Photo Editing, Gaming (Diablo III, Dota, NFS and etc)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : not more than 14"

currently in my mind is Dell XPS14z & XPS13, but i think XPS13 is not suitable for gaming. as for XPS14z the battery is build in, will that be okay if i use it for long hour?

regards,
arthur
*
The XPS14z is not exactly very suitable for gaming as well...
It all depends on your usage, if your photo editing is quite intense, then choosing a laptop with an i7 processor would be a better pick, i.e.
14"
Lenovo (not exactly your preferred brand but still can be considered)
Y470, i7-2670QM + Nvidia GT550M (2GB)@RM2799[JBL], W7HP, 4GB, 750GB (5400rpm), Lenovo P350 headset OR 2 years warranty
Y480, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT640M@2999[JBL] *upcoming

If gaming is your top priority, then the AW m14x is pretty much your only choice nod.gif

If you have a tight budget, can consider this one as well:
HP Pavilion G4-2026/27tx, i3-2350M + AMD HD7670M@RM1999, 4GB, 640GB(5400rpm), W7HP
The specifications are obtained from HP online store. If the spec is right, then its quite worth it nod.gif

AW also can customization what? Don't be so demanding only.

I suggest you get a after market SSD and slap it on the spot. More profit this way. The ones that comes with original laptop is overpriced.

Heck, I prefer buying my own Ram and SSD and slap it on the spot in front of the seller tongue.gif

Asus ROG series not bad, but somehow, Mx series, yet to fail me. Lasted me quite long before it went away

Hey guys I'm in a dilemma of this Asus A43SA and A43SD series. Budget around early RM2000. Due to the confusion and some are temporary staffs in PC Fair I find some of them might have misunderstand of the item or something. Now I need your help to determine whether if this few notebook exist or not.

Based on the salesman I have this few models available.
A43SD series core i5 2450M GT610 for RM 1999 which is the standard model based on the brochure. There is one shop state that they have a GT630M unit with the same specs for the same price. He claims that they have to clear out the old model which is the GT610 2gb version first therefore they didn't say they did offer the GT630M model unless you ask for it. Does the GT630M model exist and is it the same price coz I find that GT610 2gb may not be too suitable for me. And I don't think it is the A43SM version because it is too expensive to be priced at RM1999.

Another shop (maybe the only one) say they have core i5 A43SA but not sure is 2450 or 2430 with radeon graphic cards for RM2250. Can anyone confirm it is running on 2450 or 2430 because they cannot open it and they don't have demo unit. And also between A43SA and A43SD, which is an older model because I can't seems to find sufficient update on their official website.

Thanks in advance.
