well, i think most of the stuff have reasonable price, the recent promotion even made all the stuff very cheap + discount voucher. The only turndown is the late delivery. check their facebook page for some testimonial https://www.facebook.com/LazadaMalaysia..

i ordered a phone last 17 june, today come sorry note at my gate, using G-Dex, the company that they used for dispatch.

but i think the problem is with this company, stating attempt to send the parcel TWICE whereas this is the first time i receive the sorry note.

i'll go to their (gdex) office in PJ to pick up the phone anyway. very difficult to wait.

i tried to order stuff from them once but like what happen to most other buyer, it was out of stock. but i just knew about it after 10 working days only because i request the shipment status thru phone call. if not they will just keep quiet, so then i just ask for refund.

but something funny spread across facebook today. it was a screenshot of a failed Lazada Malaysia facebook admin attempt to praise their own company thru facebook comment but seems he/she forgot to logout from Lazada account: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151345308799572

and that was epic smile.gif

[The below was posted on two other threads regarding Lazada. I'm just sharing it again on this thread.]

My experience with Lazada.com.my...

I purchased a pressure cooker unit last June 23. I paid via credit card (trusting them since some friends had good buying experiences). The order and delivery processes were smooth. The item arrived on time (June 27). But when I opened the box, I found out that the item is broken. So I immediately proceeded with the returns process. I took pictures of the item and the underlying issue and sent a mail to customer service within the same day. I also demanded a full refund since I'm not happy with the item's quality. And here's what I got as the initial reply after two days (June 29):

"We suggest you to send the item back to the manufacturer for warranty claims as it would be much faster as we would take some time to deliver the item back to the manufacturer." mad.gif

I emailed them back and told them that this is an issue that I have with Lazada.com, and not with the manufacturer, so I expect Lazada.com to solve this without passing the responsibility to its customers.

The same day, they replied and arranged for GDEX to pick up the item. rclxms.gif

After a week, the item was picked up by GDEX. I followed up with them after a week (July 5/6???) via a call to the hotline (1800 88 7700). I asked how the refund will be processed and they said that the amount will be credited back to my CC account and that will take 2 weeks.

After 2 weeks (July 19), I called them again, seeing that the amount is not yet credited. The support rep asked me if I have returned the item and told them that yes, it's been picked up 2 weeks back. They told me that the refund is being processed.

July 26 / August 2 - calls were again made to Hotline. In those two calls, they asked and told me the same thing, "have you returned the item already?", "your refund is being processed." Looks like they aren't monitoring and recording the calls being made to them.

Yesterday, I called again. Same question, "have you returned...". I told them that yes, you've been asking the same question every time I call. Then he said, "oh ok, yes the item is already with us. We will process your refund." I told him that I've been hearing the same line for every call. Then he said, "Sorry for the inconvenience. You will get the refund in 7 working days."

"What?!?! 7 working days again?" doh.gif

"Yes Sir, because the refund was only logged 2 days back." vmad.gif

I kept my cool and told myself that it's not the rep's fault, it's the system. So I told him that I will monitor and call back again after a week (keeping my fingers crossed).

In fairness, Lazada's tech support reps are not arrogant and very apologetic in each of my calls.

So in my conclusion, Lazada.com.my's order and delivery processes are just OK. But the refund process and after sales handling definitely need positive changes.

So it's up to you. Maybe you can just order and pray that you get your item in good condition. smile.gif

UPDATE: The refund was credited to my account the same day after making this post. Coincidence or not, I'm just happy that I got my refund already. Will I purchase from Lazada again? I won't say no (especially if there are very good deals) but I guess thinking twice before the purchase cannot be avoided. smile.gif

I bought a 32" Panasonic LCD TV from Lazada.com on 22/12/2012 and requested to ship to Kota Kinabalu. Today I received my LCD TV in a good condition via GD-Express. I don't understand why there is so many negative feedback about Lazada.com. Maybe I am considered a lucky customer or Lazada has improved their service?

However, I would like to emphasise here is shouldn't we Malaysian give support to our home-grown setup online companies in order to make Malaysia a better place or more advanced in e-commerce industry? Look at UK, USA or even China, these countries are so advanced in their e-commerce services which benefited their residents for online shopping.

Last but not least, I don't represent Lazada.com. If anyone would like to challenge my words to support Lazada I can produce receipt from Lazada, shipping status from GD-Express, signed consignment note and even the images of my 32" LCD TV I bought.

Your reply is truly appreciated. However, I personally don't welcome any offensive language here. There is no company in the world can run the business or operation 100% perfect. If the company has improved itself like Lazada, shouldn't its services can bring benefits to online shoppers?

How do you define offensive language

And if you're not representing Lazada why are you spamming their fb page?

Unfriendly phrases. Everyone has different interpretation so maybe in this case maybe you guys are just over-reacted about my + ve comment about Lazada service. If you need me to produce documents like Lazada Invoice, Signed C/N via GD-Express, Images of TV I bought to proof that I am represent Lazada, please let me know. I am willing to produce over here.

Me, being a resident from KK, Sabah and I truly impressed how Lazada can arrange to courier a 32" LCD TV to my place within a week. No damage done at all. The price I bought is very cheap as compared to if I were to buy from any electronic stores in Sabah (Atleast RM300 ++ more if to get from the physical store). I posted my comments in their FB just to show my support to them. I hope their service can be recognized so that ppl can truly benefit from online shopping for cheaper stuffs and get things delivered to your doorstep.

Hope this explanation clears.

sorry late reply
yeah it did only after a week of waiting and constant email :/. There's a but, I received a different phone although not a completely different phone. I ordered a Samsung Champ II C3332 but they gave me Samsung Champ C3312 Deluxe Duos ,but I didn't complained because the price was about the same and I liked the design. They have told me in email that they are waiting for the stock(phone) to arrive to their HQ from warehouse. But the question is why did I received a different but almost the same phone. Was it an error or were they trying to fool me because they didn't had the stock (note that at the time the Champ II C3332 was featured on front page. Other than the lazada facebook controversial comment. I noticed other things like obvious false details on products, can you sue them for that?example example 1 also comments that really looks crafty on some of their page,I forgot which but look out for repeating positive comments with same comment style.

Just to share my 1st shopping experience at Lazada. I've been looking for Huawei mediapad and managed to get one at good price RM699. So I placed an order online thru their website around 6:30 pm Wednesday 27/2/2012 by credit card. I entered my card no and along pops another acknowledgement that my order went thru and followed by email of order confirmation.

5 minutes of work and I am so delighted that everything went smoothly. The next day came still no call from them or email (no tracking no whatsoever) I waited again till friday morning. No news I decided to give them a call. To my horror one chap told me if I pay by credit card they need a copy of the front page of credit card for verification purpose. WTF no one informing me, its not on their terms and conditions and I have never done any online transactions that requires me to send a copy of my credit card.

Its stated on their site my item will be expressly delivered (within 48hours) Well, SCREW YOU LAZADA I checked with Maybank asking about my transaction and my card was indeed swiped and cleared. At this point I asked the chap if its possible if I cancel the order and pay by Cash on Delivery. The guy as if he doesn't care told me its possible but they need to cancel and reorder and it will take me another 3 working days.

At this point my blood has risen and I told them to just cancel my order and now I just wish they will revert back my credit card transaction.
I will wait till monday and check with the bank whether they indeed cancel the order. I haven't received any reply thru email about my order status yet.

Their website may look impressive but their service sucks, (hello, no payment gateway, everything is done manually) Anyway enough of my rant,

Lazada has lots of items displayed on their website.. but whether each and everyone of them is truly 'In Stock' or not, that you have to make a guess!! I ordered 2 items from them on 5th, and to my horror they told me one of the item is still pending from their supplier so they can't ship it out yet!! Darn isn't it ?? The item was clearly indicated as 'IN STOCK' before I clicked 'buy'!

Just wanna say LAZADA SUCKS BIG TIME!

They put up RM40 discount promotion for buying through their mobile app but it NEVER works! Worst still when I called their cust service, they say we didn't read the f*cking promotion date correctly, they say it "Ends on 30 Jun" means 30 Jun itself if no longer valid for the promotion and yet their mobile app and the online web site is still showcasing the promotion that NEVER f*cking work!

From a truly pissed could-be customer.

First Lazada is not local brand. We are pleased to see malaysia became a e-commerce advance country because it may help reduce hazzle on purchasing & transparency of pricing across nation. Just that many of us do not pleased by Lazada service. The fact is they having fragmentary service & logistic system.

I hope anyone who work & concern for lazada.com will saw all the negative comment and improve their system.

Stupid CS 3 days after I pay and order no response at all, call them they say will check and return to me but never return to me, after 3 days I call them again they say due to system error they're unable to process the shipping due to system error although they already taken my money.

All call also keep asking me to hold for very long time (more than 30 mins), wasted my phone credit and time which they cannot afford or able to pay back.

Take my money and never ship my item, tell me they're not responsible for their system error! stupid CS tell me they won't stop me if I wanna complain anywhere online.

I buy from hong kong and US also faster and no problem than this stupid lazada.

I already call my credit card company to dispute the transaction (luckily I pay by card), or else they just telan my money because of their system error.

This is my first attempt to buy and it will be my last, I regret wanting to buy from this site!

As far as i'm concern, this company is run by swindlers and conmen. Bunch of Italians running a German Company which rip off ideas from original websites. Last time i met them as they want to take products from me, they wanted 30% margin and i have to deal with delivery. I told them to f*** off back to Italy.

Right On bro. You did the right thing. They contacted me like several times, saying want to joint business with us. I asked them to keep on walking, don't turn back. I already know what their do and did in the past. Just copycat... Zalora, lazada and pricepanda are same company. Huge complaints from customers. Still some still fall for it. Not a trustworthy company.

*** LAZADA IS A CHEATING WEBSITE *** LAZADA DEALS are just SCAM ***

*** PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM LAZADA ESPECIALLY DURING MEGA DISCOUNT SALES ***

*** It may seem very lucrative but there is no guarantee that you would receive the item even if you are successfully able to place the order. Go for it if you want to try your LUCK. 90% chances are that you will waste your time in following up for refunds ***

It looks like lazada is trying to cover up their reputation by ads and paid posts like these. They give FALSE OFFERS just to attract customers.

HERE IS MY EXPERIENCE ...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Initially I placed an order for samsung washing machine without any offers. It mentioned 1-3 days delivery but it took 7 working days to dispatch alone. It got delivered after 4 days. This is a huge delay but is still acceptable.

But the 12/12 (DEC 2014) mega sale was a HUGE SCAM. Me and most of my colleagues who tried to make orders with great discounts and/or voucher codes were unable to complete the orders. Either the page would fail during payment or during final payment confirmation. If you want to order again since order could not be completed, it would say that Voucher has been used already.

I waited for christmas deals and got a good deal for a Fridge(really?). I ordered with a discount voucher and luckily was able to place the order. The order got successfully verified but after about 5 days, they cancelled it.

The reason they mentioned is that they are out of Stock. But the same product is still available to order but at a higher price. If it is really out of stock the product page should have the *OUT OF STOCK* notice. Now I have to follow up for my refund.

They are simply avoiding/cancelling orders placed with huge discounts/voucher codes. I came to know this when I learned that similar story happened to one of my office colleagues with different products( 1 TB WD external hard disk)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am the latest VICTIM of lazada. I am new to Malaysia and fell prey for lazada. I am so used to online shopping in my country because of amazon which is so genuine and I just got into the same habit after coming to Malaysia. I hope someone benefits from my experience.

Please read my post properly. I didn't complain about invalid voucher codes or expired voucher codes.

The order has been placed and got successfully verified status also. But after 5 days they cancelled it without notifying me. They might cover it with their terms and conditions. But they cannot earn the trust of customers by doing so.

Cancellation is done by the vendor side. Always find a reputable vendor.

Some of the reputable ones are (in my personal experience):

AONE
OOKAS
CT HARDWARE

Hello, it's been 3 years since you posted this and I'm not sure if you're still hanging around this website or not but I'm just going to give you my opinion.

Yes, we should support Malaysia trying to make a better e-commerce experience for the people, and any form of home-grown setup online companies from Malaysia is always a welcome! thumbup.gif

Malaysians can buy items without much hassle, and we won't have to order from other countries, which means items will be much cheaper, and we save a lot of time and gas. rclxms.gif

The problem, however, lies entirely elsewhere. It's their service. Their dedication. Their responsibility. That are making the experience for their customers utterly horrible and leaves an unsatisfying taste in their mouths. I don't know much about e-commerce but I do know a bad customer service when I see one. All these complaints, their not baseless, they're just really frustrated because the platform they trusted has failed to uphold their promise. This is already bordering as a sort of scam to be honest. mellow.gif

My dad has bought items from LAZADA before, and he told me he was quite satisfied with the items, but it's because he was careful with his purchase and he did some checking before deciding. I trust my dad on this one, and went ahead to purchase a NOTE 3 LTE with his help. Ironically, after 6 days, we got an email saying the item was out of stock and they will be refunding my money. It took them around 3-4 days to refund.

I was indifferent to it, there's bound to be a few problems from either the supplier, the company or the delivery when making online purchases. However, it left a really really bad first experience for me, and I don't even know if I should just go straight to the supplier and ask questions about my order being out of stock so last minute. (the supplier is actually very near my house, kota damansara)

I made online orders from the USA before, a Kickstarter project. And to be quite honest, the package arrived earlier than I was expeccted. I was so excited and happy since I noticed the package right after school. That, is what I call an enjoyable customer experience. Something Malaysia companies should work harder on, be more attentive to your customers, take these things more seriously, because we are TRUSTING YOU TO DELIVER OUR ORDERS TO US. Also, follow ups are always important, be it suppliers or customers.

Anyhow, I am giving LAZADA a second chance, since some said it's the delivery that's a problem, the items are actually quite okay. Let's hope I get what I purhased. nod.gif

my experience has been sucky.
i used their voucher to buy redmi note for our family and relatif and yes we are poorfag.
next day all order was cancelled by lazada stating suspected fraud. with a flame in my heart i call them to verify and they said 5 redmi note was paid under same paypal account and they decided to cancel all order. i fuck them back saying if suspected fraud why not call the paypal owner and verify if ia fault or not??
their reply is this is their standard sop and advice me to buy using cc option instead of paypal wtf. last time mi Malaysia sell mi3 i bought 5 units also no issue fraud what?? they even flip flop saying is paypal buat hal then say is company policy i also rclxub.gif
then i ask them to relinquish the voucher for me and they said cannot and invalid dy.
i fuck the customer service 9 9 and they just diam diam without solution and i close the call. that was probably the last time i will ever buy from them again.

I bought more than 2k++ about 12 transactions each 300 and above before gst. All my item arrived within 1 week. And ive been using lazada for about 2years. No problem at all. Some item are send by seller itself thats why it could be slower but some is like second day arrived. So i would say depends what you purchase la actually.

True.

I have bought many items from Lazada on COD term only.

I won't buy if the item is to be paid upfront by credit card.

Well, it's still safer to actually be able to inspect the products before you buy them. Online purchases may be quick and saves time, but the risks are higher because of immoral suppliers and unprofessional customer services.

So far all in purchase in CC , satisfied user thumbup.gif .
I tend to add items in cart until a voucher or 10% discount kicks in.
From small electrical appliances, household and sports item.

Only thing i dare yet to buy is mobile devices.

You can compare price of items against rakuten / lelong before buying. Lelong usually be cheaper, but with voucher, lazada has more value for money.

You really get fast delivery with lazada if you give office address for delivery.

I'm a merchant selling on Lazada.
There's a customer returned the item to Lazada 1 month ago, but Lazda has not returned the item to me yet.

I'm very disappointed at Lazada.
